how to enable vertical tabs in nightly?
  • Wow! This is the first I heard of this so I looked it up.

According to this article it looks like you need a particular build thats not in the nightly mainline, and its very experimental.

Still, its exciting to see them work on this! I use Tree Style Tabs with custom userchrome.css, but it is a bit fragile. Native vertical tabs would be great!

  • Zellij (a terminal multiplexer) 0.40.0 released
  • Zellij is fantastic! I've had it installed on all my machines for a while now and it works great.

The best part is that the UI is discoverable and pretty intuitive. I no longer have to look up the seldom used tmux key chords I could never remember.

  • KDE Connect updated
  • I hear you. It does make the software easier to use, but I also wish there was more control over when it was actually running. I usually just shut down the background process entirely until I want it running again, but it's a manual process.

I've been wondering if something like Tasker would help but I've never looked into it.

  • KDE Connect updated
  • There's a "Trusted Networks" setting to limit autodiscovery to certain networks. I don't think it'll completely disable the software, but it should prevent your phone from being visible to others.

Alberta government releases no-go zone map for renewable power projects

    From the article:

    > Within the restricted zones are hundreds of oil and gas facilities. One open-pit coal mine in the Rockies is before the provincial regulator and the expansion of another has already been approved. Much of the area has been extensively logged.

the mod fixer we all know and love but without scummy practices.

Full Release Mod Fixer (No DP Edition)

Does anyone know if the grievance is legitimate?

I just got the game and I'm not familiar with the history here, but I am using the original mod in question. I did verify the files as well and they are indeed the same.

I'm not even sure how to see if Donation Points are enabled on a particular mod or author's account.

I don't mind mod authors getting some kickback if that's an option, but taking someone else's work is rather poor.

Edit: Looks like this mod was now taken down.

Edit: There's a forum post from the author of the mod in question that mentions talking to the Nexus staff.

Hopefully this was all just a bit of unnecessary drama.

This was posted on Hacker News but I thought it was a really cool article explaining how Elliptical Curve Cryptography works.

www.chicagotribune.com Column: Homeowners, it’s time to ignore your neighbors’ manicured lawns and replace grass with native plants

Suburban homeowners can do themselves and the environment a big favor by replacing grass with native plants, though some may feel peer pressure from neighbors to maintain manicured lawns.

    This makes me happy! :)

There are a few houses in my city that have gone all in on this and it's absolutely beautiful! We've started a big project at my house to do something similar as well. It's very exciting!
