  • True...

But even on a more metaphorical level, every single thing that has or will happen in this universe, down to even the smallest quantum fluctuations could be encapsulated into IF statements as long as you had enough of them.

  • There's not a single thing in this universe that cannot be accomplished with enough IF statements... as long as you've got infinite time to wait

  • Yeah, my family have always had a problem of quanity over quality.

Not to sound ungrateful, but I'd prefer one thoughtful gift to a bag full of stocking fillers - it's better for the environment and they'll actually see use rather than just rotting in a drawer

  • Having parents who fight over this every year, keeping score like it's a game of chess, I agree that it gets annoying

  • Gotta be honest, feels less like you're forwarding your opinion and more like you're ranting at people for holding the opposite opinion. That was always gonna make you enemies, even here.

  • Was about to say, seems like an example of a malicious advert than what they're actually trying to look for

  • Was about to comment the same thing...

Green guy was pointing out that fl4pper was wrong about Linux not having support for professional recording software, that isn't the same as calling them a liar.

  • I know your feeling - though I find it hard to truly lose my temper, I do tend to stress out easily and start venting outloud.

I feel like externalising my stressors is the only way to let them go, even if nobody wants to listen, otherwise I just end up bottling things up.

  • I would've expected to see something like thus out of the EU rather than China, but at least somebody's making the first move against the predatory monetisation of apps

  • With what Soliders I ask - at this moment in time, it would seem Russia is too busy putting them into the meat grinder of the war with Ukraine

  • Especially that first one - I'm scared to think that someone can even accomodate that up there

  • That's the Republican way - criticise and cut everything while offering no real solutions

  • That's what we make of it, yeah... but I want an answer from the universe itself

  • Colorado Attorney General Weiser's decision to criminalize split-second medical decisions sets a dangerous, chilling precedent for pre-hospital care in our country. There are far-reaching consequences we will address at a more appropriate time. But when politics drive prosecution – forcing firefighters and paramedics to second-guess decisions – public safety is compromised.

They didn't have to make that "split-second" decision though did they?

From the video it's obvious by the time that they inject the Ketamine that the Elijah is no longer moving, so there was clearly no justification to administer the Ketamine..

And even if there had been, it's never good practice to go for a maximum dose when you don't know the patient's parameters. You should start conservatively and go upwards like a proper medical professional, rather than just ball-parking it and killing them.

Additionally, they make excuses that they didn't know Elijah's airway was restricted or what their pulse was - to which I say why didn't they do those basic medical checks before deciding to stick a needle into him? That's criminal neglect, plain and simple.

  • Anti-Caking Rule

    Jump
  • If you didn't have the anti-caking agent, the cheese would just cake up into one solid mass, making the whole "pre-shredded" part literally meaningless...

If you want shredded cheese without anti-caking agents, just shred your own - it's cheaper, and only requires a grater and a bit of extra time over pre-shredded.

  • What's really the meaning of life - like are we really just a cosmic roll of the dice going through an at most ambivalent universe?

  • You can only hope these were cleaned after their last use

  • How people refer between different types of sweets varies even within Britain, nevermind other countries... but at least in my experience chocolate sweets get referred to as chocolates, and non-chocolate sweets as just sweets (though I have heard the terms sugar sweets and confectioneries thrown about for those too)

  • You say that like most of us aren't in on the joke - good banter is one of the few things we Brits even produce anymore...

It ruins the fun if you take it too seriously, which (from my experience) Americans seem to do a lot - that's one of the other things that outs you guys amongst Brits fairly quickly.

  • True - I had forgotten you guys call it footy and soccer. Though I suspect the Aussie accent would give you guys away before we got to the topic of footy
