Living on the run because they're breaking the law. Lots of people don't like when people break the law. But I'm just telling you what legal immigrants are likely to think and why they may support the deportation of illegal immigrants.
I'm merely stating that when you work hard to do something the right way, seeing somebody get what you got by breaking the law is frustrating. It's human nature.
You're assuming that LEGAL immigrants would be deported, but the LEGAL immigrants are just mad that they put in the enormous amount of effort to go through the LEGAL channels while the ILLEGAL immigrants basically run roughshod and make a mockery of their efforts.
So you don't understand the point of federation then? It's not to have one big Reddit clone full of Reddit bullshit and Reddit corruption. It was to have countless little homes combined together to make a whole, but what we have at the moment is Reddit bullshit but worse.
I don't care if I'm wanted or not. I care if a large portion of the fediverse sees fit to censor opinions based on their feelings. Fine if you're moderator on a community based around something that doesn't fit your views but it shouldn't work the same for the entire instance. And it's only really an issue because lemmy.world It's like 90% of the fediverse. If it worked like it was originally designed, there wouldn't be massive controlling interests like Lemmy.world.
They said all that about a bunch of alternative media that was banned from all money processing. Oh, you can't use the banks. Why don't you just make your own? While I don't agree with most of the things those kind of people said, I also do not agree with completely banning their speech. All that does is push them into the shadows and that's how Donald Trump gets elected.
It doesn't work so well when the majority of people are concentrated in one or another. It's like going into a Reddit admins pet project sub and then getting banned completely on Reddit because you broke that sub's rules.
Sounds like censorship to me. I'm from the old internet where if you didn't like what somebody had to say you ignored them. Current internet is far too soft and full of safe spaces which will ban anybody for the slightest offenses.
