If you find someone to sell your LCD easily I would say Yes.
Black Mesa, The Master Chief collection, Ori bundle and Sonic Superstars. 70€ ;_; (because that fucking new Sonic game is too expensive, even on 30% sale)
It's a disaster. I bought my Steam Deck like 2 months ago. Now I want the OLED version, of course.
We are at the point of announcing the announcing trailer
The price is very honest
I think the pixel art style is great. At the beginning I also thought the game was very cool with a very intriguing story, but then the game started to ask me to do totally useless things for progressing in the story, like: go find the berry for cooking the meal for this person for no reason, but then something stupid happens so you lose the berry, so go get the crabs for cooking the meal for this person for no reason and apparently something else stupid is happening and here I am. I think I lost interest in the game and don't want to play it anymore at this point and I'm sorry because I really wanted to play it to the end 🫤
That's true, but it's enough to just rinse your mouth with water before brushing your teeth to eliminate any acidity from the food, or just wait at least 30 minutes before brushing your teeth.
maybe they should block the accessory when trying to play online, not by default.
Sonic Frontiers the final horizon update. Very hard.
Same for me. ;_;
Yes, I was wondering if all the tinkering is still required after 1 year. Didn't Ubisoft updated/fixed the Steam version of the game since then? 🫤
Hi, I was interested in playing the HD version of Beyond good and evil on my Steam Deck. I did some research online and I found out that at least to 1 year ago the Steam version of the game had many issues (only french language and settings related problems). Anyone knows if those issues are still there or I can buy the game safely? Alternatively can I buy the game on gog and play it fine on my Steam Deck using Heroic game launcher? I read that the gog version is great while the Steam version is not. Lastly I could download the PS3 version since I already have the rpcs3 emulator installed, but I can't find where to download the game and how to install a pkg (since on PS3 apparently exists only a PSN version of the game and I always only installed ISOs). I don't have any preference, the important is that the game works without tinkering. Thank you 🙏
Thank you! I made it working after installing 47, 46 and finally 43! Thank you 🥰
I got my Steam Deck 3 days ago and I just started exploring it. Given that I already have a large library of games on Epic Games, one of the first thing I did was installing the Heroic launcher. It worked well for some of the games (and not for others... like Hyper Light Drifter ;_; if someone knows how to configure it please help me). What I'm not understanding is: why do I need to have different proton versions installed for each game? Eg: one game requires GE 7.32 (what's GE by the way???), another game version 7.45, another one 7.20 etc etc etc... Why? I already had the latest version (8.0) of proton installed on my Steam Deck, shouldn't it be enough to run all other games being the latest version? 🫤
Best comment ever
These are my concerns 🫤 Did you opt for any of the alternatives? Which one and how is it?
Thank you all. This discussion is really helping me making a decision. I even thought that YouTubers are being paid for well advertising all these Chinese alternatives and put the Steam Deck in bad light.
I was interested in buying a Steam Deck... Until I discovered all the (apparently) better alternatives. Asus Rog Ally, OneXPlayer, Aya Neo etc... I like the idea of an handheld console and obviously I would like to have a device that can run almost everything, so the Windows based handhelds seem better than the Steam Deck. Is it true? Furthermore the Steam Deck looks really big compared to some new devices out there (eg the OneXFly) and neither I like the screen of the Steam Deck, apparently of lower res and with very big bazels (to me looks like the first Nintendo Switch). On the other hand, I think Valve is a more serious company than (apart from Asus) some other unknown Chinese company and I expect Valve to deliver a better product. Still I'm not convinced of Steam OS compared to Windows 11, since I would like to play also Epic games and maybe some emulators. So I started getting information about the alternatives and... There are a lot. There are so many that I got overwhelmed. If you go to the OneXPlayer website they sell like 3-4 different handheld consoles, Aya Neo even more and they also have IndieGoGo campaigns running for new devices, all with weird names. I can't understand what's the device right for me (and I really don't understand their business model). So my question is: are the rivals of the Steam Deck worth their price? Are they really better than the Steam Deck (in terms of quality, screen, size)? Thank you for your opinion!
UPDATE: I finally bought a refurbished 256GB Steam Deck.
I heard it will be on the Fediverse. Is it true? I heard it had 30 millions users registered on the first day. Wtf. The whole Fediverse doesn't even have 10 millions users. I heard it will not be available in Europe, yet. I visited https://www.threads.net/ and I don't know if it'll be the Threads instance to the Fediverse. There's nothing at the moment.
I wouldn't like this contamination in the Fediverse. What are your thoughts?
