  • My mistake I thought they had used it in the kiosk. My point still stands though that someone else opened it, touched it, and I have no way of verifying it's integrity until I get home. That's used.

  • My mistake about your post. But they will sometimes use a disc in the in store kiosk and then sell that as used if it's the last disc available. At least they used to.

  • I hate that they do this. You opened it, you touched the disc, the disc was run in a system. That's not new, that's not unused. GameStop should have never done this in the first place, and I can't believe they still do it.

  • This feels like it was written by someone who hasn't done sysadmin of a Windows network in a long time. Everything is online and is almost always one click now. Provisioning, removing permissions, updating email filters, adding users. Each item is so much easier now than it used to be. I loving running my PopOs install but let's not pretend that SysAdmin is the 90s nightmare it once was.

  • Very true. Also the degradation due to installed programs hasn't been a thing for some time. Even if something does happen you can refresh without losing any data very easily these days.

  • Right

    Jump
  • that hinged on the past-tense of “to run” being “ron” instead of “ran,” would that even qualify as a joke?

Yes. There are jokes like this all over the place. Example: Job -> Has Job, Jobn't -> Doesn't have Job. This is the exact same style. You just want to be pedantic.

  • This instance doesn't support it. So even if your client has it it won't do anything.

  • Yeah we really need a downvote button, at least on the posts themselves.

  • VNC would not work for your needs.

I've had success in this set up using TeamViewer (over internet) or No machine (local network).

  • I used to sneak in to E3 in the 2000s when it was industry only. It was always a blast. But I also think this style of show is done for in general. I really like the Nintendo Directs and it seems like other companies have figured out how to do their own version. I also like that we get news throughout the year instead of in May.

  • Firefox + ublock origin

  • This poll kind of sucks for data gathering. You ask two different questions but there's only one set of answers. Even the first question alone asks if we use and/or require, which should be separate.

To answer though: I use my headphone adapter whenever I travel but don't have a regular headphone jack. A jack is not absolutely required for me to purchase a phone but the adapter is.

  • This was posted way back in the early 2000s on the Something Awful forums. He was throwing a party and wanted to show the set up. None of the outlets were protected and there's a light above the water. Seems like the party went okay though. There's pictures of people in the water online somewhere.

  • You could be right and seem to be implying the new territories are the main reason but do you have a source for those metrics? You've been calling into question how Netflix is counting this so which counts are you using?

  • Also they leave out that almost 6 million additional signups were added by this change. I'm ready to go back to the high seas myself even though I'm the one who pays for the account haha

  • This article is cherry picked. They added millions more of subscribers because of this change.

  • I was going to post the same, thank you. I hate it but this has caused dramatically more signups

  • Can't believe they still continue to pump out updates for this game. What a glow up.

  • Well if course they do because even with the tools to open it you really can't do anything to their stuff without soldering experience, the correct electronics, and a microscope. They get the good PR of yay we support you but also you can't do much without their parts.

  • My main PC is all white (by coincidence) so I named it Minas Tirith
