well if 4 hours is good enough then I guess a T410 will probably be fine. if you're buying local than $30 seems about reasonable. it's 14" and a bit heavy but not egregiously so. I don't know about the T420, I don't own one.
that's very true! probably gonna get a fourth (newer) one soon because all of these are 15+ years old
look around long enough and you'll find a spare key for my house :3
btw, don't sniff those plastic things around the hard drive in old thinkpads. they smell like cancer sticks and burning plastic.

well i didnt go far :3 my parents dont live together.
it's true, my parents don't live together so i brought the laptop with me to my dad's house, but forgot my SSD at home. it's painfully easy to make such a mistake. see my other posts, i did have arch linux on this lol.
