I've been hearing about Linux elitists for the last 20 years, and I have yet to meet one. But what I do see is an endless wave of trolling and bad faith arguments about the supposed complexity of Linux.
They treat a wide array of developers, maintainers and enthusiasts as employees of Linux inc, and now they're grumpy because their imaginary ticket submitted to a nonexisting helpdesk is not being processed.
I have recieved much more help and support from the Linux community than from any other proprietary software helpdesk.
Copyright is a temporary monopoly on making copies of a work in order to reimburse artists and writers and encourage creativity. It has been hijacked by corporations and turned into this horrid thing where a work enters the public domain only when it has been completely forgotten by the general public.
I used to frequent the /tg/ board, it had people making homebrew conceptual RPGs - the kind of stuff that the indie RPG scene pretends to have invented. Sorry to see the site go, but it was inevitable.
I've encountered many situations of priests having girlfriends, boyfriends and even whole ass families on the side and the parishioners were...okay with it? Like, being celibate is one of the basic prerequisites for your job and you are violating it so casually? No wonder the Catholic church is hemorraging members, this type of in-your-face hipocrisy has become commonplace.
