Yes, if your customers insist on storing the source files on IBM i in "QSYS.LIB" and you are not allowed to develop locally in you favorite IDE. The old "AS/400 developers" fight tooth and nail to store the source code in the in the database instead of "Integrated File System", so it's always a pain. 🤮 Fortunately there is IBM BOB which makes transfer really easy.

ich hab für feddit.org gestimmt. Ich wäre aber auch mit „lemmyverse.de“ oder so mit gegangen. Letztendlich kann ja alles gut sein, Hauptsache es ist kein kaputter Server, der nicht mehr administriert wird. Und ich würde es begrüßen, wenn nicht alles so zersplittert wäre.

Gibt es eigentlich einen Mirror, der alle Subreddits von Feddit spiegelt so dass man z.B. auf /c/dach@irgendeinserver alles lesen kann? Ich sehe die meisten Subscriptions immer noch auf Feddit.de, wäre aber cool, wenn ich eine neue Community abonnieren könnte um Feddit Boards woanders zu lesen. Meinen Account hab ich schon gewechselt von Feddit zu lemmy.world und auch dort eine Subscription meiner alten Boards auf Feddit eingerichtet, wäre aber besser wenn sukzessive alles auf ner FUNKTIONIERENDEN deutschen Instanz laufen würde, wohin man dann auch ggfs. umziehen kann, denn: Englische Communities schön und gut, aber mich interessieren deutsche Inhalte, die auch aktuell in ner Timeline auftauchen. Und ich hab keinen Bock auf zig Instanzen alles zusammen zu suchen.

I'm hoping this will never be the practice in Germany! We're using these gas pumps with LC Displays from the 80's so there can't be apps with ads on a screen. Also known as "German Digitization". (A buzz word for modern technology /sarc)
