Recommend me a good exploration and trade indie game
  • How much of the game is combat? I’m looking for a similar game but I’m really not that interested in combat. I’d rather play like the Millenium Falcon and have to run away whenever things got heated.

  • What Film Are You Surprised Didn't Get A Sequel?
  • Nightmare Before Christmas. Not that I want a sequel, mind you, but it is Disney we’re talking about here. It’s like a to tobacco addict turning down one specific brand of cigarettes.

  • This 28-year-old pays $62 a month to live in a dumpster he built for $5,000—take a look inside
  • I'm glad you're happy. However, virtually no one else would be. I mean a statistical blip of humanity would be happy living in a van.

The reason I'm uncomfortable that you exist is that people I know who live out of their cars are mentally ill individuals who have convinced themselves that they enjoy something which is, very clearly, sad and terrible.

That may not be you, but I'd be willing to bet it's a majority of van-dwellers. It's just not a healthy lifestyle for most.

  • Apple has seemingly found a way to block Android’s new iMessage app
  • Beeper is more than that. Beeper MINI is about that. But I've been using Beeper on my PC for the past year because I am so tired of picking up my phone a million times a day just to send someone a message. I'd say probably 90% of the people I know use iPhone/iMessage so having the ability to message them on desktop was a lifesaver for me. Really bummed it's not working anymore.

  • Lemmy's active users are up again for the first time since the exodus
  • I used to look to Reddit when big news broke because it was always on the front page within minutes. This past year there have been a few times that big news stories weren't even on the top few pages. I gave Lemmy a try, and it feels just like reddit from 2013. I love it. I'm home.

  • Opinion: What do you expect when an oil executive runs the climate talks?
  • I don’t think media companies realize they’re doing me a favor when they block me from reading their articles (for any reason). I spend too much time on my phone mindlessly scrolling anyway.
