What are your favorite dishes from your local region/city/country? What are the best dishes from less talked-about cultures?

  • For sure. There was a place in Baton Rouge that had great fried soft shell crab poboys. So many good things to eat down in LA. I’m in the Fingerlakes region of NY now and miss all of the good food from LA.

  • Gumbo or red fish courtbouillion from south LA (Cajun food). Also boudin and cracklins.

    • YSK, that on most smartphones, if you press the power button 5 (or more) times in quick succession, you can quickly call emergency services.

  • Funny thing- my phone pocket dialed 911 the other day because of this. I let them know it was not an emergency when they answered.
