Thankfully my apartment gets down to just 17 at the lowest and I'm a hot sleeper anyway. But these mornings have just been a bit too nippy!
Bed linen change day: boo
Swapping in the thicc doona: yay
Vast improvement so far. Accessibility, HTTPS and mobile friendly. Obviously a work-in-progress, but excellent start.
Oh yeah it says "The Bureau" on mobile hahaha
Did you see the new BOM website they're working on? Kinda neat: https://beta.bom.gov.au/
For all we know a City of Melbourne employee installed a free trial 10 years ago using their work email. That tends to be how these logo showcases work.
Oh so what will you eat tomorrow?
The press release from today clarifies some important points:
- The trial is about how the service is implemented, not whether the service will become a feature of the Victorian health service. i.e. It will become a permanent part of Victoria's health response to drugs (as long as a non-regressive government is in power one assumes).
- There will be a fixed site "located in an inner Melbourne area close to nightlife and transport" set up around mid-2025, as well as site testing at festivals this summer.
- Legislation will be amended so the service, its staff and its clients won't be breaking the law.
- Police will be consulted to establish a fair and feasible arrangement that doesnβt deter people from using the service.
Pesto pasta is povo and you can make it a bit fancier if you want
Makes 1 serve
Required
- 100g pasta
- About 50g green pesto
- Cheese and pepper to taste
Optional
- 40g of frozen peas (baby peas are nicest)
- 10 to 15g of sundried tomato slivers
Method
- Start pasta cooking as per packet instructions
- Add pesto and optional sundried tomato to your serving bowl
- 1 minute before the pasta is cooked to your liking, add frozen peas in with the pasta
- Once pasta and peas are cooked, strain immediately and mix with the bowl of pesto
- Season with cheese and pepper to taste
Note
- Pesto with added cheese (e.g. Barilla Pesto Genovese) is very salty, use less salt than normal in your pasta water. Or just choose a different pesto.
