Great news!
Both are great! In my experience Qwant gives better search results, so thats what i use. I even prefer Qwant's results over Google's. But Ecosia is a great option as well because of the tree planting.
Qwant and Ecosia are also developing a fully European search index together. The first versions are expected to be available this summer.
Let me explain it with a theoretical example: you are a company and the field you're hiring in consists of 90 women and 10 men. You need 10 people for the job and want the most capable. Statistically that would mean hiring 9 women and 1 man on average, giving you the 10% most capable employees. But since you want equality you want it 50/50, so you hire 5 women and 5 men. That means that for the women you hired the 5,6% most capable employees, but for the men you hire the 50% most capable employees. So you get less capable employees this way, assuming both groups are equally likely to be capable.
I disagree, there are definitely extreme forms of DEI, namely when we're talking about forced equal representation. Pools of potential employees are rarely perfect representations of society, for many different reasons. So if a company forcefully tries to have a perfect representation of society, that means they will discriminate against certain groups and hire less capable workers on average.
This looks great! Those are some very welcome improvements, thank you for your work
TLDR: out of all of these the only real european companies are:
- Bosch (group)
- TTS tooltechnic systems (group)
- Fein (independent)
- Hilti (independent)
And makita from Japan and one of the only independent manufacturers left, as well as Fein and Hilti.
Cool, I'll give it a listen!
You know I'm right
Well open my eyes then, show me the riots or other major actions that I apparently fail to see.
Sure the democrats do not like whats happening, but they are too complacent to do anything about it.
Just because it was bad before doesn't mean its not getting much worse now.
Nice argument. Surrendering without a fight just like your politicians. Seems like Bernie Sanders is the only one with some guts
Am I wrong though?
There were massive riots from the BLM movement after the death of George Floyd, which is fair enough. But now that we are witnessing the US being turned into an oligarchy and the annihilation of 80 years of US diplomacy, what do we see? Almost no opposition, just some small scale protests.
And its the first major movie completely made in Blender! An amazing free and open-source 3D modelling program from the Netherlands
How is it possible that this is the only thing the democrats seem to care about? Yet they seem fully complacent with Trumps destruction of the US economy, democracy and international relationships?
That's the problem with the two-party system in the USA, in a full democracy this dynamic wouldn't happen. This is the achilles heel of american democracy and the downfall seems to have begun.
Another insane figure: wild mammals make up only 4% of all mammal biomass in the world, the other 96% is humans and our livestock. That 4% includes all whales, elephants, bears, etc.
Als je niet kan kiezen kan je ook gewoon lid worden van beide partijen. Bij volt en d66 komt dat bijvoorbeeld best vaak voor.
Cool, good to know!
