Why is Haida Gwaii covering half of BC when the island they're from isn't even on the map?
It's becoming quite the scandal in Canada, where academics are claiming indigenous heritage to get sweet teaching gigs. Buffy St.Marie is the latest greatest liar.
It is the name of the island. But not Vancouver Island.
Isn't that pretty much late stage capitalism?
It isn't the paper that dulls scissors, it's the silica in white paper. Craft paper is fine. Although cardboard is brown it's also full of dirt and will dull your scissors in one fell snip.
A guy found a magic lamp and a Genie popped out and offered him infinite wisdom or infinite wealth. He asks for wisdom, the genie grants it and disappears in a puff of smoke. As the smoke clears the guys says "aw crap, I should have took the money"
That's exactly how every Canadian feels about the US every election cycle.
I just tried to do it to your comment and it won't let me. Only works on the feed?
"Well, they're all pretty bad" seems to me to mean "I vote against my self interests"
They probably laid off the guy behind the curtain.
I think I just figured it out, Search Engine Optimization?
I did indeed miss that. From the feed you can only block things, not subscribe. I thought you had to go to the sidebar of the community to subscribe. Cheers!
It's a great app! Thanks! But unless I'm missing something, there needs to be an easier way to subscribe to communities.
Absolutely it does. I work with chalk and know exactly what you're talking about. The super treatment is to lube up and wear cotton gloves. Really works quick.
When I get a cut on my hands and they are very dry my skin heals over the wound, but the wound still stays there. Callouses just kind of grow over it and it gets painful and shitty. I put a glob of Vaseline on it and cover it with a bandaid or something and I a few days it's back to normal.
You also have to think about the end of life of every one of those satellites, they all get burned. All those solar panels, batteries, carbon, resin et al get chucked in a bonfire in the upper atmosphere at the end of the day.
So much easier to block a community than subscribe to it.
