Notebookcheck: Framework Laptop 13.5 Ryzen 7 7840U review: So much better than the Intel version
  • We don't really know if the photos are representative of their actual testbench unit. That said, I usually trust notebookcheck's reviews over others. Though this one gives me some concerns since they report a 6.5w average draw for idle, which should result in a 9.3-9.4 hour runtime with the 61w battery. Unless the battery is above spec for the test unit I guess. Otherwise, the math doesn't really match their idle draw estimate.

  • I feel like this is probably a net boon? The 3x stored data free egress means you can test your backup to make sure it works without incurring potentially hundreds of dollars in egress fees to make sure your 3-2-1 last resort backup works correctly.

Plus it avoids the huge potential costs if you actually do need to use that backup of last resort in exchange for a higher monthly fee.
