It's all true! They've got a Sir Tificate to prove it.
That's pretty cool! i never had the S5. Looks like a good solution. It looks like it would work on a lot of phones today.
Although, i think there are design changes to consider on newer phones with more powerful hardware. I believe they contain empty space that is there to aid with cooling the phone so the solid body of the S5 shown in the link might not work, meaning there would need to be a specific cut out space for the gasket to seal against.
I appreciate that its probably not the most challenging problem to overcome, and i would very much appreciate companies spending more money on solving the issue. But i don't think its a "one size fits all" solution in a world of vastly differing design choices, folding phones and modular phones.
Having said all that, i would much prefer for there to be less makes and models of phone and for the focus to be on designing something that won't be useless in 5 years. It should all be about longevity and reducing e waste.
One in my wallet at all times.
Isnt the problem with a swappable battery, like you describe, that the phone will lose its waterproofing?
Dont get me wrong, i dont think they should be welded to the internals like they are these days, they should be easily removable, but getting into the phone shouldsnt be super simple unless they find a decent way to waterproof a removable back plate.
I dont keep up with apple products anymore, what did samsung do to mimic them in one UI 7? I thought they just added a couple of nothing features from stock android.
They look like team america world police puppet hands
Sometimes, my lane assist function thinks that random pot holes and scabby bits of road are lanes and tries to push me over into the path of other cars without warning.
I turned it off.
My car is not a tesla, but from what i understand about teslas, they are prone to this same issue.
Wow! I must have dreamt that. I felt sure it was cut short so it all got wrapped up quick in season 4. But googling it now is giving mixed messages, some showing michael schur intended to or decided to make the 4th season the last and others saying people were mad it was cancelled.
Whats The Selection about? The Good Place was amazing and it was a shame they cancelled it. Could have done with just 1 more season.
Did this to my brother once but i screenshotted the desktop with a webpage open on some dodgey porn site. It was not a maximised window so you could see the desktop making it seem more legitimate.
On my dads computer, back in the day, I set the sound for every action in Windows to a silly song i downloaded off kazaa (Windows xp days, i believe)
So this was the sound that played for clicking the start menu, hovering over programs/apps, whatever it was and making that menu appear, and any sub menu for individual games or apps following that. Any kind of prompt like errors or "are you sures" etc, minimising/maximising a window. Everything!
That's what my virus would do. I just need the perfect sound to apply. Maybe that annoying tiktok song "Oh no! Oh no! Oh no no no no no!"
This translates to tv shows too to prove the point.
Tv shows that only have a few seasons that are high quality start to finish are so much better than tv shows that go on and on and on and on.
For example, the simpsons, whilst an excellent show, should have ended many seasons ago. It's 30 odd seasons in, and it's stale. It's a little funnier recently, but i dont think it will ever be as big as it was.
I would consider it a failed show now but a successful show back when it was popular.
So it's pretty much proof of the point that forever is not the definition of success.
I've been playing this, too! It's a great game!
Most definitely can be refuted. There are hundreds or maybe thousands of amazing games out there made by young and old people that appeal to both young and old people. The issue Anon is struggling with is non gamer capitalists running game companies and milking games for every last penny at the cost of quality.
I know it's a tired example, but look at the company and team responsible for BG3. A game that is widely considered one of the greatest games to be realsed in at least the last 10 years, maybe even longer. This game was made by a company owned and operated by old people and young people. The teams directing, designing, creating, and writing this game were made up of multiple generations of people, and what was made, unimpacted by corporate greed, was a masterpiece.
Good games are products of passion and creative freedom, not money or age.
Fair enough.
Whilst that is fair, i dont think there is too little information in the picture to see the irony, i think you presumed a lot of details that were incorrect and thats just as bad as me unintentionally ommitting the context you needed to understand my viewpoint.
How can you possibly know who was driving the car?
I took the picture... about 15 or 16 years ago
Furthermore, even if the red van wasn't being driven by a learner, how can you know the events that led to this weren't caused by a different car driven by a learner?
The area that the car was is a small car park outside of a pub called the coach and horses.
Coordinates 53.3764660, -3.1237445
The driver had just come from the pub. I was across the road in the beer garden of another pub called the greave dunning (just about visible i that screenshot) when it happened and witnessed the crash. He got in his car, had it in 1st instead of reverse, and went straight through the bricks and off the edge.
Is that enough for you to understand why i find it ironic?
Irony:
a state of affairs or an event that seems deliberately contrary to what one expects and is often wryly amusing as a result.
The car is not being driven by a learner. Its not ironic just because a car crashed outside a driving school, its ironic because the driver is experiencedz has a licence and should be able to drive but they have crashed outside a driving school, the place you go to learn to drive....
I thought this was pretty clear.
I have to disagree. Granted, those learning to drive are likely less skilled than those who have passed their tests already. However, the majority of crashes involve people who have already passed. Learners tend to be more careful and drive more slowly than more experienced drivers. Learners also have an instructor present who can use the dual pedal controls in the instructor car to stop something like this from happening.
So whilst you might think a more experienced driver would be less likely to crash, remember, this car was not being driven by a learner and more experienced drivers are less likely to pass driving tests, since they develop bad habits like not using indicators, becoming overconfident and bending or breaking rules, more likely to speed and as stated beforez are far more likely to crash or be caught in one than a learner.
Oh! I quite like that change. I guess it's similar to apple in that it's separatated notofocations from quick settings, but doesn't apple have a swipe up and swipe down? Or is it double pressing the home button? I haven't held an iPhone in many years now, so i can't remember. But how you access the two menus is different. I dont think an apple user who tried android for the first time would intuitively know how to access the two menus. So i wouldn't say samsung had copied apple. Rather, they have been influenced by the idea. Plus, i believe stock android has this as an option in versions 15 and 16
That aside. You can go into your settings and swap back to the old notification shade.
