Star Wars Outlaws interview: ‘Uncharted is a wonderful game to be compared to’. Creative director Julian Gerighty discusses the challenges of creating the first open-world Star Wars game.
  • It would be interesting to do it the Kotor way. In that game you could customise your character but there was also a canon version of the character which followed the light side ending and had specific clothing.

I thought i remembered that the writers considered revan to be female canonically too. In Kotor 2, in an early scene, atton refers to revan as "she" or "her" so potentially they intended that to be the case.

But in individual games it made no difference because you could customise.

Like when i read Harry Potter, i took the descriptions of the characters and they looked a certain way in my head, until the films came out and solidified how they all look to me. I think everyone did this. It didnt matter to me that they looked different in the films to how i imagined. It was just the "official" versions of them.

  • It's easier to remember the IPs of good DNSes, too.
  • That beeing said, there are people that insist on obscurity beeing security (sigh) and want to keep doing dns views when using IPv6. But even then things are much easier when the result would be the same in either view.

    OMG!!

This guys a bee! Everybody run!!!!

  • The truth...
  • Ok, i was trying to make a joke to diffuse what was clearly an attempt to argue with me in a serious way about something that i was only arguing in a light-hearted way.

I dont agree with you that someone being forced to join a military makes them exempt from any moral consideration when trying to determine whether to blow up a space station they are on.

What choice would you have made if you had a gun to your head?

  • A cool guide to heat absorption between different colored T-shirts
  • Its a bit misleading. Black clothes will absorb the heat from the sun and your body and then the clothes will cool via convection. So the wind blowing through the clothes takes the heat away. White will reflect the heat from the sun away and your body back towards you.

Im sure theres some debate and probably way more to it but i have always felt more comfortable in the heat than other people and i wear darker clothes the majority of the time. If that anecdote bares any weight.

  • The truth...
  • Great film. I always considered the contracters to be closer to slave labourers. The empire took prisoners, if personal politics would get in the way then a laser gun would surely convince anyone unwilling to help.

  • The truth...
  • Depends though doesn't it. Was it conscription or voluntary. Some of those military were forced to join the empire or have their planets blown up. Obviously many were zealots but im sure if it wasnt for vader, many of the soldiers wouldnt have joined.

When it comes to people being forced into the military is it still fair game?

  • The truth...
  • They blew up the death star! That was full of people. Thousands and thousands of soldiers and engineers, pilots etc. We all cheered. Id say it was pretty morally questionable.

  • New York governor to launch bill banning smartphones in schools
  • Im 36 and i often forget that the 90s were about 20-30 years ago. I forget im not 20 sometimes, until i throw my back out.

If I had to guess, they meant to say something like 25 years ago.

Or not. Im not them, i dont know.

  • Crowd boos Rob Schneider off the stage when he started telling anti-trans & anti-vaxx jokes
  • Wait! Spinal tap wasn't an SNL sketch.

It was a sketch on something called "The TV Show" according to wiki.

It says they worked on a pilot for The TV Show, which had spinal tap as one of the sketches.

I guess it still started as a sketch so you are right in your point that sometimes these things start as nothing more than that but it wasnt SNL. Although the cast have all been on SNL at some point.

What reasons are there for being concerned about companies like google and meta etc collecting data and tracking me?

Please understandnim asking this question from a genuine place. I dont want the quora answer, i want the tech savvy, security expert minds of my fellow lemmings. If thats ok?

What happens to this data? What can/do they do with it? and why are so many people concerned about google tracking them?

Do i as an average user need to be concerned?

If so, What sorts of things can i do to avoid being tracked? Preferably without too much comprimise.

How many 3rd party apps would we need to make reddit free again?

u/spez says that 90% of 3rd party apps will fall under the free model because they wont make enough API calls to come under the paid model. So how many times would we need to clone, and rename, the good 3rd party apps and split the users up between them to make reddit free again?

I think its still free if your app is making less than 100 queries per minute.

u/spez says that 90% of 3rd party app will be unaffected by the change... i thought... yeah... if there are like 5 3rd party apps that 99% or users use then the other 45 apps out there will have like 10 downloads each.. so what a misleading and dumb thing to say.

I guess you would need to limit how many people can be using each clone of the app but as elaborate as this is it would be funny to see that knobhead react to it if we did it.
