  • You know you don't have to be a furry to buy furry stuff, ye? It's not like anyone's checking for a "furcard" or anything.

Besides: for those of y'all boycotting US goods, Nomad Complex is Canadian. It actually sucks for those of us in the US because afaik, Nomad Complex has stated that they're not attending US furcons anymore. They've apparently had issues with immigration and customs prior to Trump, and they've decided (and for good reason) not to enter the US for the foreseeable future.

  • God, I love this comic. Thank you for A) making me aware that it got a continuation and B) compiling it into an easier-to-read format.

It makes the opossum in me very happy.

  • This is why I love furry stuff. Nomad Complex, Hyena Agenda and Weasel Gear are great. I mean, I guess Nomad Complex and Hyena Agenda could technically be kinda considered branded since Nomad Complex puts their logo on the front of their hoodies and Hyena Agenda has some shirts that incorporate their logo into the design, but the designs are generally really good.

Edit: okay fine, it's one of the reasons why I love furry stuff.

  • My take is that they may be bisexual, but they may not be biromantic. In the sense that they're down to fuck women, but prefer dating men. It's a differentiation you usually only see in the aro/ace/agender community (separating romantic vs sexual attraction), but I've started to wonder how many people have a romantic orientation that doesn't fully match their sexual orientation.

  • Okay, there's actually a speculated reason for this: while you're dreaming, your body is paralyzed but your brain is not. When you go into fight-or-flight when you're dreaming, your brain starts trying to take sensory input from both your dream self and your real self. As a result, your brain is receiving mixed signals: your arm is moving and it's not moving; you're successfully controlling your arm but you can't control your arm. The result is that it feels like it takes a significant amount of effort to move your arm, and your arm moves slowly.

My own personal experience seems to support this: if I casually run or hit something in a dream, then it happens as expected. If I'm in fight-or-flight mode, then my actions occur in slow motion. However, I got lucky and became lucid during one such moment, and decided to try consciously focus on just moving my dream arm, and I was no longer moving in slow motion.

  • "This video should challenge us all to commit to making the Kennedy Center a place where everyone is welcomed," writes Kennedy Center President Richard Grenell, a Trump appointee who is also the special presidential envoy for special missions, on X. "It troubles me to see that so many in the audience appear to be white and intolerant of diverse political views. Diversity is our strength. We must do better. We must welcome EVERYONE. We will not allow the Kennedy Center to be an intolerant place."

Hold up. What did you just say?

"It troubles me to see that so many in the audience appear to be white and intolerant of diverse political views. Diversity is our strength. We must do better. We must welcome EVERYONE. We will not allow the Kennedy Center to be an intolerant place."

W-what? I'm sorry, what!? What the actual fuck do you think you're saying with those words? Those words have no business coming out of your mouth.

  • It's wild when you look into how many different languages are "Chinese". It's like if someone were to say that someone from Germany spoke "European".

  • Some kind of ancient forest spirit emerges from the woods, consumes my soul and leaves my body in a coma before fading back into the trees without a trace.

  • I hope this comes with a VR overhaul on PC. Hitman would make for an amazingly fun VR game if they did it properly.

  • Throw it against the ground to see how high it'll bounce.

  • Mmmm.... The music...

This makes me want to make 3d models of AoE 2 buildings

  • You need more furfriends in your life then. Then you'd get a laugh and "The Cone of Shame" instead.

  • Honestly? I'd rather have Bowser over any real world dictator. Bowser actually gives half a fuck about his minions and domain, while looking sexy as hell in the process. That's a step up from the "real deal".

I'm still kinda looking forward to the Mario game where Mario goes after Peach only to discover, at the end of the game, that Peach is actually in love with Bowser and that Mario just committed mass murder out of a misogynistic, misplaced belief that Peach can't defend herself or pick her own partners.

  • Personally? My country wants me dead. "Oh but claim refugee status at the border" yeah, that don't work if you're coming from the US. The US is considered a safe harbor by Canada for LGBT people.

Let that sink in a moment. Canada still considers the US to be a safe harbor for people who are LGBT, and so explicitly (unless something changed literally in the past couple months) blocks refugees from the US.

  • Who the fuck are you talking to that is saying, "oh, well, both sides, you know?" The only people I know who are still saying that are people who are wealthy enough to not feel the immediate effects of Trump, or are conservative, white, christian assclowns who voted for Trump. Why are you talking to those kinds of people for an honest read on the US? Those people are part of the reason we're here now.

  • Note: unfortunately these are all on PC and don't have couch coop unless specified otherwise. I also don't think they have DRM aside from normal steam stuff (or require an internet connection for actual gameplay purposes), but any steam DRM should be easy to remove.

Warframe: space ninjas: the game (though it does require an online connection since it's basically a coop mmo, and it is third-person as opposed to first-person)

Payday: basically cops vs robbers. You're the robbers.

Killing Floor: Lodesemone! Dosh! Grab it while you can, lads! Money, money, money! Coop zombie survival. I hope you love blood and gore.

Abiotic Factor: what if you were a scientist in the Black Mesa GATE Cascade Research Facility and you had to survive? Can be played single player or multiplayer.

Halo: MCC: Halo already has a reputation for being the ultimate coop shooter. The MCC adds and expands coop for the games; however the PC version lacks split-screen. This can supposedly be added back with a mod, but I haven't tried it so I can't attest to how functional it is.

I've heard Sven Coop is really good if you like Half-Life stuff. It's a coop Half-Life mod.

Risk of Rain 2: technically third-person, but a very good coop shooter.

  • There's a mod for that now, so you don't have to do the Nucleus Coop bullshit. I haven't tried it, so I dunno how well it works, but ye.

  • Fyi, afaik Halo MCC supports 2 player coop on Halo: CE, and 4 player coop on the other games. That said, they removed split-screen on the PC version. Supposedly they keep saying they'll add it back eventually but, well, "eventually" has yet to happen.

That said, I've read there's a mod for native split screen now so you don't have to do the awkward Nucleus Coop stuff. I haven't tried it though, so ymmv.
