Ya, I need to get off the bags. I had no idea about the micro plastics. I'm running by my kitchen store here in the next few days and buying a basket strainer.
How do you brew yours? I've also seen the little baskets on a string. It seems like that could work. Idk the basket seems like the most straight forward easiest thing to do.
I'm not sure how I feel about the flavors, I always hated them in coffee, I'm hesitant to order flavored tea.
I absolutely don't heat water in the microwave! I have a kettle like any other good god-fearing man.
However as a person who recently got into tea I'd love to hear recommendations on tea. I recently got a box of Yorkshire gold that's been pretty good to me
As a guy who recently got into tea, any recommendations? I got a box of Yorkshire gold, it's pretty good, but almost tastes a little.... chalky? Malty I suppose is the word. It's good, I'm not complaining, but would be interested to hear recs from someone who knows what's what
Lol my ex girlfriend had a "karate" teacher growing up. He taught them a few "Japanese" phrases. It wasn't until decades later she learned this dude just made it all up. I guess it was something you could get away with in early 90's bumfuck Wisconsin. Like this dude just rolled into town, started "karate" classes, and just kinda went with it.
Idk about running sims, but I switched over a yearish ago. It was a release of anxiety I didn't even know I was carrying around with me. Just a break from the relentless capitalization and enshittification that windows jams down your throat at every given moment. It's so nice having a system that doesn't spy on me, does what I want when I want it, and never locks me out for any reason. I don't have to reset the privacy settings after every update. It works faster too. 10/10 recommend.
Venison can be good if it's properly butchered and stored. It so often isn't though. People will shoot a deer then leave it to hang for a day in 50-60 degree weather. Just gross.
Bears are too greasy. And they're too smart, eating them is just bad karma.
A lot of game meat can be good, people just have no clue what to do with the processing side of it. They'll spend thousands of dollars buying the most ridiculous gear to kill the damn thing, and then just fail at butchering and preserving. Hunting is the easy part.
Perch are good if you fry them right. But I live up north where the water stays cooler, I think it makes the fish taste better. You go down south and anything you catch just tastes like swamp.
It was such a cool concept. The ending felt really forced, you could tell they had a bunch more story planned.
It was also cool they always filmed on location, it was nice to watch. Some shows will be set somewhere, but the background is so obviously southern California it just takes you out of the plot. I'm sure it was expensive AF, but it showed in the quality of it.
We're a long way from famine. We may have to eat food we're unaccustomed to. We may be forced into vegetarianism. Lots of grains, whatever vegetables can be harvested mechanically. But the amount of food this continent can produce is truly phenomenal.
I just looked and it turns out I do have a tea store in town! Just opened in the last few months. Gonna stop in and sniff around a bit
