Hard times
  • Dividing $100 into smaller and smaller pieces is the exact same thing as making money which causes inflation? If you divide it into 200 parts of fifty cents each and you only need 199 then someone has an extra fifty cents.

  • Hard times
  • Of course inflation is natural. Unless we are all gonna share the same $100 forever it has to happen at least without some sort of perfect foresight so the correct amount of money can be issued.

What isn't natural is somehow people are convinced they should be held hostage by business.

When somehow we are convinced taking out a loan that you have to pay on for eternity (selling stock) that is not natural.

When somehow limited resources (our time) has less value then an unlimited resource (money) that is not natural.

  • What are some useful or just cool stuff to memorize?
  • We wish they were that cool, the inventors of the modern mile were more concerned about land measurements. A square mile is 640 acres. Which neatly can be cut into quarters 3 times. 160, 40, 10.

  • Trump's unprecedented campaign pitch: Elect me to be your revenge on the government
  • No, they just want someone who will appeal to the common person as maybe caring.

I said it during his initial campaign run. A "business man" as leader of the country isn't a horrible thing. Trump and many others are horrible picks for that role though. People will reject that because government isn't supposed to be for profit but it really is. As taxpayers we just need to rethink what "profit" looks like to us. Universal healthcare, UBI, proper investment in the country, proper ma/pa ternity leave can easily be taxpayer funded and on and on. A good leader will stifle borrowing by the US and make some headway towards our enormous debt while still finding something that works for us as voters.

  • End thy own life
  • That is not true. If it's pre 1898 it's antique, beyond that it is classified as a destructive device and has a whole bunch of red tape. Anytime you see words $200 tax stamp it isn't easy to get.

And even a pre 1898 cannon is going to cost you $8k+ for a rusted out POS that will explode if you try to actually fire it.

  • Wish we didn’t live in a capitalist dystopia
  • It a little hard to blame them since they were sold the end of pensions and rise of the 401k. Which the bottom 60% of the country has close to zero of and then they can't make a living wage because the shareholders demand a greater return every year.

  • Privatized Healthcare is so awesome
  • No. That isn't how it works either. Well they might use that to meet the pr pledge but that isn't the same as taking the deduction.

As I told the other person if you actual have any proof to back that up report it to the IRS and collect your bounty.

  • Privatized Healthcare is so awesome
  • Why don't you show me any proof otherwise if you know so much.

In fact if you have any proof otherwise why don't you send it to the IRS they pay actual bounties on actionable tips on tax evasion.

  • Truth is CEOs do dumb shit all the time because most of them are not the "genius" worth all that pay everyone seems to think.

Of course there are many that are worth the pallets of cash they make but it drives all the mid tier to junk CEO compensation up.

  • heartbreaking moment
  • It's everything from redpill misogynists to people who just support men's rights and saying we should should direct resources to prevent male suicides is the exact same thing as saying women are property and deserve no rights or autonomy and there is no middle ground.

It is important to understand what people are saying about this because when you hear someone say something that seems reasonable and correct but suddenly they show their extremist stance but then you dismiss that part because you don't realize what they are saying.

This is how all extremist groups get people on their side from Isis to Jordan Peterson to far right politics.

  • What's a company secret you can share now that you no longer work there?
  • You can monitor your site traffic during the ad campaign and see if it goes up by a reasonable rate per impression though?

Sure I suppose they could lie and you happen to have such a well crafted ad that it has a super high click rate and you are getting scammed but I think that is highly unlikely. Especially depending on your target it would be easy to check.

  • 1% rule: 1% of users actively create new content, while the other 99% only lurk.
  • Maybe, but having a sense of community maked a big difference in keeping people engaged when communities are small and need to grow. There are certainly plenty of spaces that should be kept clean and on topic but if everything is always dry and boring you will have limited engagement and limited repeats.

When a lurker knows how to "newfags can't triforce"

Or respond to "Red Leader standing by."

Then they see positive feedback from the community they feel like they are part of the community vs an observer and tribalism is one of the strongest features/bugs of humanity.

This also helps keep discussions civil when you can realize the person you have having a disagreement with regarding "tensor wave field dynamics in corn flakes" isn't just a raging dick because they used the "specific gravity of skim milk instead of whole milk like you were."

Edit: make to makes and mile to milk
