But what is to limit Nvidia from just shifting to "wow now that more can be done with less, we will do even more with EVEN MORE CARDS" and apply the improvements from Deepseek to their own models while continuing to ramp up in the same way?

Eventually there will be a pop, but I genuinely don't get how this ushers in that pop. I guess the diminishing returns of these systems is hastened? As in, adding more cards with more resources will continuously have less effect. But companies will for now still want even the smallest edge by putting Deepseek-style-improved-AI on even bigger data centers.

I was trying to test its ability to make anything sounding sensible by asking about how a book's take on a topic related to a party program, but was genuinely surprised that it shut me down and gave me the "out of scope" when I asked it to apply Xi Jinping's theories to a party in my country. I guess it makes sense that they don't want to let an AI talk for Xi, but I figured it would at least say like "Xi's theories focus on development in a sustainable way, and this party does not" or something. But it just said "nope" lol

Still pretty damn good at the actually good use cases of AI though

Although I don't agree with the analysis entirely, this is a perfect example of the economic necessity of self-consumption that Prolekult used in defining Fascism.

I feel definitely like I'm being tricked by media saying that Gazans are happy. It's absurd how something like war and death can become so excpected and normal that a peace, no matter how tragically unstable, can be unbelievable.

I am really proud of how good the filter is though, it's an awesome filter. I think we should always create "workarounds" for these problems with emotes, though. In this case, we just need to emote some famous therapy-ist every time we want to say the word. It'd be sort of like cultures with word-taboo's but naturally built in hexbear language.

what was 'theremoveds'? Not some morbid curiosity, just seems like an otherwise good comment so I'm assuming this is some word I'll either learn for the first time or know not to use on Hexbear.

I know nothing directly about American credit scores, but I've always thought that it actually makes sense (in a capitalist society trying to make a profit) to give higher scores (and thus more loans with less risk) to those most likely to end up overpaying. So taking loans, paying interest on them, and always paying the minimum to lengthen the time that you provide profits to the creditor is the best way to max score.

This makes perfect sense. The fact that this score is used to distribute resources instead of just calculating likelihood of paying back/likelihood of profit is what makes this huge contradiction arise. But the scores make perfect sense for being bad when you are "responsible". The score is how profitable it is to loan you money.

Interesting post, would've never considered how the terms here relate until you said it. Incels deserve the shit, and it's interesting to consider that we partially identify the cause of their misogyny with their virginity. Incel is still a good insult when it's a misogynist who WANTS sex but can't possibly have an intimate partner willingly have sex due to their misogyny. I saw the headline this morning. Thought for a split second "I wonder which unit the Guardian considers high profile? I bet it's not Azov because they'd just name that..." Then I realized a split second later that they absolutely would hide the name in the story to avoid immediate associations without having all the "context" about Azov's "not a nazi group anymore" around it.

Damn, I was mostly being sarcastic about its confuingsness (because there's a bunch of lies being spread) but this is an excellent explanation and it did fill some big gaps in my knowledge (I must have missed the news that Machado was gonna get Edmundo as president?). Very sensible take, though, which makes fills all the holes in the bullshit that BBC and Guardian wrote.

I would say that's true if not for the stuff around it, because it's accusing Netanyahu of "getting us into endless wars" right around this quote, and it's generally a negative claim about Netanyahu the whole time. Trump also wants to destroy all enemies of the Zionist entity, but he wants Netanyahu groveling at his feet to do it. This video makes it seem like Netanyahu just gets his way. And trump doesn't like it when others get their way lol
