  • Sooo when you use the prompt

    Shutdown.exe -r -t 00

You would need the -f since we defined the timeout period as 0. Because:

If the timeout period is greater than 0, the /f parameter is implied.

  • We just use a neck roll placed in the lap or on the stomach to rest it on while playing. It is a bit on the heavy side, but it is the first generation consumer handheld with that kind of power so I can excuse that.

  • Well regular soldiers also get hired to do that, the big difference is the employer, as a regular soldier you're employed by the state, as a mercenary by a private entity.

In war they are more or less treated the same under the law, they're counted as regular combatants.

Mercenary business is always at least a little shady, since they often get used for shady stuff.

  • I don't know if you did that, but for anybody struggling with those:

You're supposed to put them together at an angle, so that the outer wall of the tins forms one straight line from top to bottom. Like this:

To open it you take them into one hand, hold them on the side where they form the straight line. Then take your other hand and gently smack against the part where the both tins connect with your palm

    Here:

Since tin tins are hard to break (though not impossible I can tell from experience) you could also use a hard surface and more force if needed.

If they're still stuck, let some warm water run on where they connect and try again. Although the drink might get watery if you take too much time.

  • Under "Goals" on the Wikipedia page.

Its goal is to allow consumers to compare the overall nutritional value of food products from the same group (category), including food products from different manufacturers.

But, I agree that it's confusing. The fact that you could miss the point of them even after skimming the Wikipedia shows how flawed their design is by not explaining it in simple terms on the label. And the Wikipedia page is also bad, why is it not mentioned in the first sentence in the introduction part?

  • ...that's not how those work.

If a frozen pizza gets a B that means compared to OTHER frozen pizzas it has a higher nutritional value.

It compares similar products for nutritional value, not the overall "healthiness" of all products compared with each other.

So you can compare a salami pizza with a veggie pizza or a cereal bar with cereals, but not a strawberry yogurt with a chocolate bar, because those are not within the same product group.

  • Greifswald

  • The EU started negotiations for a free trade agreement in 2015 during Obama, then the orange threw the proposal out in 2016. Now in 2025 he imposed the tariffs, then announced he'd be willing to negotiate new trade terms and the EU opened the drawer and got out that proposal from 10 years ago.

Basically what the EU always wanted in the first place.

  • High pitch noise like from hard drives, typically in the 5 to 15k hz frequencies generally can be dampened quite a bit with pretty simple solutions like accoustic foam. Since it's probably not that loud you won't need much material to achieve a bit of reduction. Only thing I'd worry about is temperature management, keep an eye on it. Afaik there are also special desktop PC cases that are insulated, for like sound studios and such.

  • With low frequencies, where it is hard to locate the source of the sound anyways, it works well, even without carefully arranging the distances, higher frequencies get trickier and you'll likely get good cancellation in some places and a terrible mushy noise in others.
