I've tried to finish this game at least 4 times. It's not the story that's boring to me, but all of the mechanics designed to make you take your time. Holding a button to interact with EVERYTHING, yeah skinning animals is immersive but you don't really need to sit through that animation EVERY single time???? Also, I don't like the linearity of the missions. You don't really get a lot of freedom to play differently. (That might just be a R* problem at this point). I still believe there's a good game underneath all of this but I refuse to waste time with it anymore.
Although not technically free, I would add Reaper to the list for audio editing. It gives you a pop-up asking if you want to buy the program, but it's not required. I know people who have been using it for years without actually purchasing it. (I have since purchased a license because I use it professionally). No features are locked behind the paid license.
The most unsettling shit I've ever seen jfc
Payday 3(when matchmaking actually works lol) and Lies of P. Payday FOR SURE needs some work put in it. If I didn't have gamepass I would've refunded the game by now. Still having fun, but it's so barebones compared to Payday 2. Obviously it's not gonna have a decade of content available on launch, but I'm definitely worried about the monetization of DLC going forward. Wait for a bundle to get released eventually and stick with game pass if you want to play.
Heat was amazing compared to Payback and 2015. I wish they would stick to that formula going forward.
The sensor stopped working and it's been stuck in green for a while. Definitely my favorite on stage

For me, Reaper without a doubt. I've been doing audio work for the better part of a decade now it's become my main DAW of choice for the last 5 years. Technically a license costs you $60, but every feature is available in the "trial" version that never expires. SWS script support and the insane amount community skins/extensions makes it well worth the $60 if you plan on buying. I've replaced many ProTools with Reaper setups.....
