Well apparently all Ontarians care about is getting beer at corner stores and receiving $200 cheques!
I am looking into a career change but I've been doing the same type of job my whole career.
I have an upcoming interview for a job that sounds really interesting but I'm worried that I won't be able to highlight my transferable skills.
Does anyone have tips/suggestions?
Unfortunately I think this is one you just gotta wait out. Eventually as the older population downsizes/ moves to assisted living/ dies, houses will become available.
Also, vote for governments that view housing as a human right and not an investment.
Start learning a new language so you can move to a country that actually cares about their citizens :)
What about moving out to a nearby apartment? That way you can still be close to help your parents but have your own space to retreat to.
What's black and blue and about to show you the definition of pain!?
I played Fallout 4 when it first came out and wasn't super impressed. I beat the game but never went back to it, unlike New Vegas, which I've replayed many times. Perhaps I'll look into mods and give it another shot.
You joke, but sometimes I've had a crappy day and just wanna play some ARAMs.
I literally have nightmares about all of these scenarios.
Frog Detective 3! I absolutely loved Frog Detective 1&2 but for some reason haven't gotten around to 3.
I just finished my first playthrough and wanted to start a new game immediately afterward. I've never felt like that after a game before. Disco Elysium is an amazing game.
Journalism isn't free. For a different type of service, I would reconsider if I wanted to continue supporting them. But good journalism is disappearing, so I think if you're in a position to help keep it going, you should.
I had no idea this was a thing, thank you!
10,000 was actually a fabrication. Benefits are greatest around 8700 steps.
Fifteen Dogs kind of fits. It's about a bunch of dogs that gain human intelligence and what they do with it.
The real question is, how do you get Shazam to actually work!? From my understanding, it's now part of Snapchat but I'm never able to get it to work when I need it!
So obviously it was worth it to you lol

The Paris 2024 team is made up of 37 talented athletes – 13 of them are women – competing in 12 different sports. They're a team born from circumstance and opportunity. Their existence signifies hope, belonging and inclusion.
Despite the attempts of the IOC to claim that they do not want to be political, the reality is that sport is and will always be political. The existence of the EOR points to global unrest and politics as one of the complex layers why the team exists.
Jesse Curtis Morton begins work as a counterterrorism researcher at George Washington University this fall. But his path to the position was highly unconventional: until 2012, Morton was Younus Abdullah Muhammad, a Muslim extremist who founded a radical Islamist website. His decision to go undercove...
Federal prosecutors once regarded Jesse Curtis Morton as a threat to national security.
The FBI said the pro-jihadist website he helped found, RevolutionMuslim.com, inspired a number of terrorist plots. On that website, militant training videos, bomb-making instructions, praise for al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden and chat rooms for discussions among members created a multi-media stew of toxic content, they said.
In 2012, Morton was sentenced to more than 11 years in prison for his role in running the site.
Now, just four years later, Morton is free and has been hired as a terrorism analyst at a George Washington University-based think tank.
Voters are begging for something, anything, different
No mention of the NDP. If only that was the "something different" people were willing to try.
In reference to the last post on temperature blankets. This is my temperature blanket for the year 2022. I didn't want it to be a giant blanket so what I did was took the average temperature over two days for each row. It ended up being a bit smaller than a throw blanket. It's also evident that my tension got looser over time which made it come out pretty wonky. Overall I think it turned out pretty nice!
True crime podcast Invisible Choir is assisting in an investigation to find out who is responsible for child abuse and exploitation. They're asking anyone with information to submit a tip.
Is there a way to hide posts? I have slight arachnophobia and want to be able to hide posts when they contain spiders without having to block a community or a user.
