  • Totally agree, except for school being better. Fuck school, from the bottom of my heart. Now I at least have the freedom to allocate some free time for my self and work on 1 thing that I understand. Not do homework for a million unrelated classes until my teachers stops bullying me or I kick the bucket.

  • I use it occasionally, in some games it looks better. Particularly games where the camera doesn't swing around as wildly, meaning NO FPS GAMES! Or any game where you're manually moving the camera all the time. I have yet to see a FPS where motion blur doesn't fucking blind me for every split second I move.

  • I mean this is less of a free speech issue and more of a lack of information and education issue coupled with foreign disinformation campaigns. And specifically for America, also a societal isolation issue. Americans outside downtown rarely get any human contact and it shows, as trust between neighbors deteriorates. This sort of stuff is far less prevalent in countries that put more value in education and building communities.

  • Not sure what a random definition without explanation, follow be so called "western propaganda", say about genocide in Russia. All you've proven is that the west claims there is genocide. That barely tells us anything at all about Russia!

Let me complete your case and actually include something from the Kremlin as opposed to only "western propaganda". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fOCWBhuDdDo Here Putin explains why he started this war. He turns the interview into a 2 hour lecture about why Ukrainians don't and never existed and therefor can't have the free will to want to be independent and must be reminded of how they're all actually Russian. Now if that's not a textbook definition of genocide, I don't know what is.

  • TIL that bickering over and then eventually sending your left over equipment and other miscellaneous trash to a country under a genocidal invasion is "weaponized nazification".

Most of what the EU sends is financial reconstruction aid. People here are too pussy to send any real help. You're making the EU sound a lot more competent by paining us as some shadow entity manipulation Ukraine.

  • Fuck no, I do my best to avoid adds and shitty algorithms promoting what I "want", because it never is what I want! It's always hot garbage! Finding anything meaningful is becoming harder and harder as adds become more prevalent. I ditched Google and YouTube for those reasons. I hate how it picks up on what I search for and shows me similar things in the future. I'm looking up stuff to find new things! Not the shit I've already seen!

  • I'd invite you to finish your thought. Because the logical conclusion of that is giving them everything. That's the only way to "avoid" WW3 according to that logic. This also happens to be exactly how WW2 started, food for thought.

I'd also like to draw your attention to the fact that Putin barely reacts to Ukraine gaining ground. Sinking of the Moskva, invading their territory, saying they'll get nukes one way or another. He's a coward that only advances when he thinks he can get away with it. It's why this war even started. He seriously thought it would be a 3 day operation and that everyone would quickly forget about it.

  • Putin has only ever escalated when his actions didn't have any consequences. Notice how he does crazy shit whenever support gets weaker, but when Abrams, ATACMS or F16 arrived, it was met with almost radio silence. Putin is a fucking coward and we need to keep pushing!

Edit: Oh yea! Also barely reacted to Ukraine saying it wants nukes, be it NATO's or their own.

  • (Edit: I was caught by the grammar police, for my heinous crimes.)

I had my coming of age when going to college abroad. Oh what a time that was.

    1. Going to Amsterdam, and seeing how unconditionally nice and supportive people can be. Even if something is obviously your fault, nobody will ever give you shit for it and will actually help you.
    2. The absolutely pointless full scale war in Ukraine starting, shattering the "age of unprecedented peace" propaganda I was fed since birth. Especially once I started educating my self about all the wars that took place in this age.
    3. Visiting my American (now ex) friends. Realizing that yes, Americans really are that uneducated and spiteful. Wanting others to suffer, way more than wanting to be happy them selves. And today, the 2024 election cemented those feelings.
  • I recently got introduced to a new friend group with plenty of trans people. It was quite eye opening. Not that my views changed, but rather upon hearing their stories, realizing how much senseless hate there is towards them. Imagine not getting a job after a successful interview, because some asshole looking at your ID sees that your appearance doesn't match your birth assigned gender. It's one thing to be indifferent or not get queer people, it's another to actively fucking harm them!

I especially hate the project2025 rhetoric of "Economy bad" followed by "Let's spend our entire budget, murdering the queers". These people are monstrous...

  • I miss those, when I was small we had a local store that did that for all meat products. You just said X amount of bacon. Instead of buying a million separately packaged packs that barely last 1 family breakfast. Or well, going out of my way to hit up lidl, because they're like the only ones selling bigger packs.

Now don't get me wrong, butcher counters still exist, but they're rare and many are expensive hipster shit.
