  • You can be concise and still be respectful. Wouldn’t you agree?

Edit: looks like they changed their response after I typed this. I’m done here.

  • What? There is a huge gap between saying “She turned out to be a fatty, YUCK!” and saying “My date lied about who they were”.

It’s about being polite… but I guess that sentiment is all but dead these days.

  • Yeah well they were pretty shortsighted calling that specific plant “tea” when there are plenty of different varieties of plants out there that can be used to make tea. That’d be like referring to one specific fruit as “fruit”. No one would be silly enough to do something like that.

  • What I don’t get is how there seem to be only a few remaining food types that people of certain ethnicities can’t tolerate. Like, some people can’t tolerate cow milk, some can’t tolerate wheat, because they didn’t have those things thousands of years ago. But like, most of the planet didn’t have most of the types of food available now until relatively recently, so why don’t you hear of more people being allergic to tomatoes, potatoes, mustard, etc?

  • I feel like the basic idea of delegation (assigning roles/tasks) is simple enough. If anything, it’s effective delegation that is tough because you have to know the capabilities of your people, and who would best be suited for what.

  • You would think people understand them by this point, I mean they've been around for at least a couple decades or so by now. It’s just like how I don’t understand how people below the age of 70 don’t understand computers…I mean Win 95 was out 30 years ago!! I used it as a child, and if a 30-40 year old can’t outperform a child, that is straight up embarrassing.

  • This chart explains it better than I could, but basically you are right in the sense that some things can definitely be worse with both. However, some things can somewhat balance each other out as well.

In the show I watched, the dude seemed to have such bad ADHD that (for example) he’d be in a serious conversation and suddenly hold up a fruit and be like “Man, tangerines are so good. You wanna bite??”, and it was like he wasn’t even serious about the conversation at all. He did shit like that constantly, and didn’t seem to be aware of how much he was pissing people off because of it. For me… I definitely start to get antsy and semi-checkout of a conversation if I’m not interested or knowledgeable about the topic at hand and it’s going on too long. However, because i’ve learned to mask in social conversations and gotten really good at reading people’s reactions, I can usually tell if I’m doing anything to annoy someone. And so, I can pull myself back on track through a conversation without too much difficulties, most of the time anyway. At the very least, I would never just let myself do what the guy in the show did, as I know that would piss people off!

  • I remember watching some shitty reality show on Netflix and one of the contestants was very obviously ADHD and out of control because of it. And all I could think was… I’m so glad I have Autism to balance out the ADHD, otherwise I’d probably be like him
