There is a to_owned() thingy I use that for path buf shenanigans. Basically the value you create is a pointer reference short of. To_owned allocates it on memory.
Wind in the willows. I got it in a school essay competion. Still love it.
Don't be so serious from death stranding.
Sealed Vessel from Hollow Knight
Night City from Cyberpunk 2077
What's wrong with Wayland? I get the hate for systemd, even though I love it dearly, but I get the hate. But what's wrong with Wayland? It's amazing as far as I have used it. I started using with when Fedora 40 shipped plasma 6.
That was the first time I tried Linux with the free and open thing. I didn't know much back then and when I saw the ads, I was like... Ooohhh this is ad supported crap. Nope... Not at all
Fucking distro kept me away from my spirit penguin for 2 years before I realized it was ubuntu's fault.
Why are most people taking enormous shits in greentexts?
Use whatever fits your use case. Hell build a LFS distro. That's why it's YOUR computer.
The penguin is the messiah of freedom.
You know what makes me forget about their awesome prices? Getting the content for free
I can't wait for Stormlight 5. Adolin and Kaladin are people who if existed in real, I would die to protect them.
The link is a magnet link actually, so it gets picked up by a torrent client. But the link I posted is for the English version.
Happy journeying the story of the Pattern of the Age. After I finish this series I might look into The sword of truth.
I haven't read sword of truth and I actually started reading because I am a Sanderson fan. But they are good. A bit slow to be honest, and apparently it will get even slower, but the world is fucking awesome. The world is set in an age which lasted for 3000 years, and there are significant things that lead to the creation of this age and Robert Jordan makes it feel like so. The world has a deep fucking history.
There is a part in book 4 where the main character gets to know events of the past (This is the best I can say without spoilers) and that had me in tears man. I would tell you to read upto there at least, then decide. I know it's a long journey but I am loving it.
I am reading Wheel of time. Currently on Book 4. Book 2 was a slog to get through but I am loving book 4 (book 5 counting the prequel).
Man I love Spacetime and Eons. I have watched almost all of spacetime. I wish there were a spacetime hardcore where they threw as much math at me as possible. Awesome channels
In general, I think genuinely that Linux requires a more hands on approach. But the best thing is, I solve a problem ONCE. Then I store the script to git and forget about it. The problem is done, it no longer exists.
Why did the coffee shop have a "Free coffee and unlimited sitting time" sign in front of it?
Thank you so much. This is exactly what I needed
So just replace my old licence file with the GPL?
Can someone help me? I have been licencing my code under BSD2Clause, I wish to switch to gplv3. How do I switch?
- Do I have to put the licence at the top of every file?
- Where do I put my name ie Copyright <Author Name> <Year>
Thank you

Hello. I recently created a notification daemon which uses eww widgets for its front-end display. So if you are already using eww, give it a go.
I know this is a very niche use case, but if a single person finds it useful, I will be glad.
I am not an atheist, I genuinely believe that God exists and he is evil, like a toddler who fries little ants with a lens.
I created this project some years back and the project just reached v1.1.0. I know most people have jellyfin servers and all set up, but if you have just a local folder of all your series saved up, you can use this to remember what you were watching.
All feedback is welcome. You can also contribute to the project

I have been daily driving a dual booted laptop for the past two years. After a year of distro hopping I settled with fedora + kde and never looked back. I really liked the auto nvidia driver config and it made everything so pleasant to work. Since the last 8 or 9 months I decided to do gaming using bottles and proton ge. I cannot afford to buy games and bottles is a God send at that. Now I realized that I had not logged into my windows partition in over 6 months. So I logged in to check and it told me it needs to download 8 gigs of updates. That sent me into rage and so clean installed everything to be fedora. I have 250 gb of storage locked in limbo because of windows( I have a 512 gb ssd so it was a lot) and today after everything was setup, the os took only around 20gb minus the games. Never felt happier.
