  • The rules are easy to follow though and clearly stated at least.

  • Who's your ISP and how do you rate them?
  • I'm with 2degrees, currently paying $65 a month for unlimited 300/100.

Ill give them a 10/12.7 because the customer retention department always let's me bully them into giving me a good deal.

Performance is great, never had an issue in the 5 years I've been with them.

  • KWGT Grinst Widget Pack

I've edited some of the colours and added the calendar events text at the bottom. Relatively simple to do with KWGT.

  • what does your android / iphone home screen look like
  • My home screen.

Nova Launcher with tracking blocked. I use EdgeGestures as well for extra functionality.

  • NovaLauncher: Today marks 1 year since our announcement that we've joined the Branch and Sesame teams! 🎉 That also means it has been 1 year since we promised your data would be safe...
  • I really like Nova, but also prefer to keep as much of my data to myself so I blocked Nova access to the internet via app permissions. Also blocked branch domains on my pi-hole for peace of mind.

  • [Feature Request] Allow one-finger image zoom control
  • Yep that would be a very useful feature, as well as flick away to dismiss the image.

  • Discussion: What Android devices are you using?
  • You can use Magisk to get around those restrictions of you have issues.

There are also SafetyNet fixes you can flash post Lineage install that get around that sort of thing but it is a back and forth as Google is continually patching holes in their security.

My banking apps work fine, including Google Pay.

  • Discussion: What Android devices are you using?
  • Xiaomi Mi 9 Lite running LineageOS 20 (Android 13) (official).

I feel absolutely blessed by the device maintainers that keep Lineage alive and current on this phone. It runs amazing considering its lower speced hardware.

I picked this phone because it has NFC, an IR blaster, notification LED and a 3.5mm jack!

Not sure how the flagships brands justify leaving those features out

My only complaint is the camera which is very average but I knew that before I purchased so I can't really complain.

  • It may only be an option if you're using the beta version of Connect.

  • Does anyone have any links for reverse engineering Spotify DRM? I didn't necessarily need it for myself, have plenty of music, and it would be a pretty inefficient means of piracy vs. BitTorrent or li
  • Zotify can download music directly from Spotify. You can bulk download or search individual songs, playlists, artists etc to download.

You need to have an account and a having premium allows you to get full quality downloads.

  • Connect 1.0.75 beta sign up
  • I'm having the same problem with all communities. It's says 'Empty because all posts are being filtered". I've checked my filters and they're definitely that restrictive.

The only way I can get the Connect to load any threads is by opening them from either my comment history or saved posts.

  • Block Community feature doesn't work.
  • I've noticed this to. I've tried to block the NSFW Lemmy instance multiple times but still have posts from it in my all feed.

  • What is a website everyone should know about?
  • As someone who doesn't use Spotify, this is amazing for music discovery. I should have been in bed a while ago but keep finding new groups to listen to.

  • (Linux users !) What was the first Linux distro that you used ?
  • I daily drove Puppy Linux live booted off a USB for a few months probably 15 years a go when my hard drive died and I couldn't afford a new one.

  • Spotify downloader
  • Zotify is great.

I downloaded approximately 3,000 songs in one go from a premium account to get the high quality versions.

Made me a little nervous but as the repo says, they have no reports of any one getting banned for using the tool.

  • Discussion: Lemmy Apps galore! Share your thoughts on them and what comes next!
  • I was a Relay user for years and found that I prefer Connect followed closely by Jerboa.

I've also tried Thunder and Liftoff which are both great but the UI/UX of Connect and Jerboa seem to feel more at home for me.

I make an effort to use all four interchangeably but my thumb gravitates to Connect more often than not.

  • Best thing for downloading from Spotify
  • Link for those interested: zotify.xyz.

It's CLI based and has lots of options for bulk downloads or searching individual songs/albums/artists to download.

  • Lemmy Apps
  • I just stumbled on a new project called Thunder, made for iOS and Android. Looks really good so far.

    Community here.

  • Lemoa - A Gtk client for Lemmy
  • I completely agree. It's the bare minimum to include screenshots if you want people to be interested. If the barrier to see if I even like the look of the app is cloning and building the project then I'll probably just move on to an alternative.

  • Local only doorbells
  • I've been using the Reolink Doorbell (POE) for the last few months. I use it with both local on board SD card recording and with Frigate. It's been perfect and the Home Assistant integration is awesome too.

I haven't tried the FTP feature but have with my other Reolink cameras and that worked as expected.

The Reolink subreddit /r/reolinkcam is great, an employee lurks there and is very helpful.
