Biden’s debate performance spurs Democratic panic about his ability to lead party against Trump
  • Would be a great move to pick someone new but right before the nomination. Lots of independents want anyone but these 2 old dudes. If either party picked a different candidate, I think they would easily take the White House.

(Unlikely) but if the dems really just had biden out there to take the brunt of trumps attacks up until the nomination, then a majority of trumps platform (biden bad) goes out the window, while the dems platform (trump bad) gets to remain in place.

Would be a galaxy brain strategy but I don’t think anyone in politics would be smart enough to pull something like that off.

  • I'm shocked how much the Appstore sucks in 2024
  • I don’t think I’ve ever gone on the App Store hoping it would have good recommendations for new things to look at. Do people find good apps that way? 99.9% of the time opening an App Store I smash the search button so nothing loads and search for the app I want.

  • MAGA freaks out after Fox News reports Obama in top 10 presidents — and Trump in dead last
  • From wiki

The first discussion of a U.S. Space Force occurred under President Dwight Eisenhower's administration in 1958 and it was nearly established in 1982 by President Ronald Reagan as part of the Strategic Defense Initiative. The 2001 Space Commission argued for the creation of a Space Corps around 2007–2011, but due to the September 11 attacks and war on terror any plans were put on hold. In 2017, Representatives Jim Cooper and Mike Rogers' proposal for a Space Corps passed the House but failed in the Senate. In 2019, the House and Senate resolved their differences to pass the United States Space Force Act. It was signed into law by President Donald Trump, establishing the U.S. Space Force as the first new independent military service since the Army Air Forces were reorganized as the U.S. Air Force in 1947.[9]

If you want to credit it to Eisenhower sure, but still technically it was established under trump so that’s the best I have for remembering what he did in office.

  • MAGA freaks out after Fox News reports Obama in top 10 presidents — and Trump in dead last
  • Usually when I try to think of it all I can remember is space force. Still a stupid name, and I can’t believe they couldn’t come up with something better.

Not sure if that’s achieved though, but was prolly a good thing to have a dedicated group to it then funneling through the Air Force

  • Poland started WWII - confirmed
  • It’s out there already for anyone who wants to see it. If you haven’t heard his views on the war you’ve been living under a rock. Almost all media outlets shared his 2021? Essay on Ukraine. Were you outraged at that too?

    cnn reporting on his essay

I’d say this was actually a great outcome of an interview as most people heard his ramblings, laughed at it, and turned it off. Further making Putin and Russia look bad. That’s a great outcome.

  • Poland started WWII - confirmed
  • Agreeeeed. Didn’t understand the backlash for him to go interview Putin, who cares, anyone can if the Kremlin agrees (turns out they turned a lot away). Getting this out of the interview was so disappointing though.

At the very least ask some form of question. Tucker was emasculated by Putin in this interview. We gained nothing from it but memes about 3000bc.

Tucker had a chance to prove a lot of people wrong about him, but instead was shown to cower in the presence of Putin.

  • So is the US slipping into Civil War?
  • Same. Tons of hard working people that do a lot behind the scenes. But South Park probably got it right with ‘they took errr jerbs!’ Jobs they wouldn’t do themselves anyway.

  • So is the US slipping into Civil War?
  • Yup! Thank you. It’s not as big as it’s being made out to be (obviously people trying to get political points), but it’s still an issue that does need to be addressed, and it is disproportionately effecting some more than others. No one is going to start at civil war over something like this.

  • So is the US slipping into Civil War?
  • Eh. Something clearly needs to be done, and the concerns aren’t being addressed (and haven’t been for awhile). Congress and the senate haven’t done anything aside from attempt to impeach hunter Biden (from who knows what) or show off his dick.

Doubtful it’s any kind of civil war, but Texas (and other states) is being hit hard by the number of immigrants, and if the federal government can’t (or won’t?) do anything to curb it, makes sense that they will do something on their own.

  • Trump Attorney Tells Judges Presidential Immunity Would Even Cover Assassinating Rivals, Selling Pardons
  • I don’t think any party would do it. To go further, why would any of them? When the votes become public knowledge from congress to impeach, what’s to stop the president ordering anyone who said yes from assassinating them before the senate goes for conviction?

Either the president scares the senate away (in case they don’t convict and the president will know who said yes) or he goes to jail/is executed no matter how many they had killed.

Even kill anyone you know will say yes before they vote to impeach. IMMUNITY!

  • Colorado Supreme Court kicks Donald Trump off the state's 2024 ballot for violating the U.S. Constitution
  • Yea fair enough. Just a different set of eyes is all. Thanks for the response!

The lack of conviction is prolly the biggest hurdle here which makes me wonder who would, or even could, bring those charges (even if the lower court explicitly stated he did). Jack smith has his hands full and while interesting to follow it’s not a direct case of questioning insurrection. Curious as to where it all leads.

End of the day, it starts to ask the question, which prolly ends at the Supreme Court no matter what.

  • Colorado Supreme Court kicks Donald Trump off the state's 2024 ballot for violating the U.S. Constitution
  • It’s all up to interpretation though, you might not see it, or you might have heard it in a way, but it can be argued. Similar to the lower court judge saying so.

Similarly one of the judge points out in the dissenting opinion there is no conviction of insurrection.

So I still think C will win, but A or B is a possibility too.

"In the absence of an insurrection-related conviction, I would hold that a request to disqualify a candidate under Section Three of the Fourteenth Amendment is not a proper cause of action under Colorado’s election code. Therefore, I would dismiss the claim at issue here”

  • Going with C. Without explicit language to the president, they will need to interpret this to mean the president included, which may be up to anyone’s interpretation.

I feel it should, however it could be argued it doesn’t.
