Well in that case I agree with you.
People should pirate what they want without making excuses.
That's so weird, I also noticed some of those centrist takes recently. They tend to get lots of upvotes from other users who are equally clueless.
That shit has the potential to ruin anything it comes into contact with, not just in lemmy but literally every aspect of life.
Just use an instance that isn't lemmy.world. that's the benefit of decentralization.
Besides, that server feels way too much like reddit, and not in a good way.
I think people who are pro-piracy tend to be a little dogmatic in the wrong direction, refusing to exercise their imagination or contemplate situations where people can be legitimately hurt financially or otherwise by their actions.
That's not been my experience. I always see people advocating for paying for games/media when it comes from indie devs etc. And there is a difference between piracy and outright theft of artwork which is then profited from, I.e. a company steals small artists work and puts it on t-shirts - very few "pro-piracy" people, if any at all, are advocating for that.
At the end of the day, pirates do it because they either have very little money or they're smart and want to retain the money they have. Then there are anti-copyright people, which is cool too.
Then there are the people who don't really know what's going on but claim some moral standing surrounding piracy. I can actually feel them coming, fuck...

Mullvad losing port forwarding isn't the big deal a lot of people have made out of it.
Unless you ACTUALLY USE port forwarding, why would you give a fuck?
ask yourself this, "Do I actually have a fucking clue what port forwarding is?"
If the answer is no, just delete this bullshit post and do 10 minutes of research please.

Some indexers have a rule that clearly states users that reupload their NZB files elsewhere will be banned, so idk
Phones with microsd ports are generally much cheaper than flagships.
But I want a bitcoin miner, sounds cool
Get a phone with microsd port. Then you can have up to 1tb of lossless music
It was really buggy for me for around a week recently but they did patch it
