  • I tried explaining this to a friend who was convinced masks do nothing. He would say stuff like "if it can still get through then what's the point". He claimed only people at risk should wear them.

  • Bees are great and wasps are very under recognised. Cross pollination, more varied than bees. They're great at pest control. Not saying bees aren't great, but we need more love for wasps.

  • Some roofs got ripped off a few months ago, t'was in the news. Forget where, want to say Manchester, but I could be wrong.

  • I can't remember if mine is 32 or 35 litres. It's a good size. Not too small and not too big, but big enough to shove a bit of shopping in. There have been a few times I needed a bigger one but it's a decent trade off for practically.

  • We think my son might have autism and trying to engage with the school and health services for a bit of support. So far no luck. Anyway, because of this we're learning a lot and I'm now starting to think perhaps I have a touch of it.

I didn't know a backpack was a thing. I take mine everywhere. Last year I met a group of friends I haven't seen in years in a pub and I took my bag. They asked why do I have a bag. "It's got my stuff in it". They did enjoy trying my flash lights (I sometimes take two in case one runs out. It never has because they're regularly charged)

  • I had a Xonar about 15 years ago. Can't remember the model. Its surround sound has a delay on the rear speakers, made playing games in 5.1 impossible, horrible reverb effect. The official drivers didn't fix it, I had to get a non-official driver pack to fix the issue.

  • I'm not really an audiophile but switching to an external usb amp dac was a good decision.

  • It wasn't until I was about 20 when I realised I was saying militia wrong. I knew the correct pronunciation because it was always on the news. I just thought they were two different words.

  • I'm sure I have one of those folding knifes, the better condition one. I'll have to find it tomorrow.

Edit: found it. Looks identical. I bought it from a military surplus shop around 2004/2005.

  • £309 gaming console for a four year old.

  • If they're anything like me then the game is called Family and it's on difficult mode.

  • I did similar a couple of year ago excluding the graphics card (kept my existing 1070). Spent about £1000 on a new setup for mostly gaming only to realise I hardly use it. Great PC, just wished I had time to use it more.

  • What's wrong with having a beer with your tea?

  • Showing my age here.

Chaos Overlords on PC. I used to play it just for the music as a kid.

Great Giana Sisters on C64. Turrican 2 on Amiga. Battle Valley on C64. Chemical Plant Zone, Sonic 2.

  • I love that song too. There's a really good remix on YouTube which I sometimes listen to while walking or driving.

  • I've always struggled in remembering how to spell licence. I never realised this is probably why.

  • That's pretty much what we do. There's patches of grass which the council cut, but they do it so infrequently it gets long. Nobody uses the land apart from the occasional dog walker. I have noticed in some areas the council leave patches of wild flowers so we're in hope that they leave a patch if they're noticed. No harm in trying.

Also there's a large car park nearby which is next to playing fields. To stop cars getting onto the grass there's large banks of grass, sort of a dirt wall (don't know what to call it). We put some on these. Not quite a meadow but better than just grass.
