  • when you say server, I think you're talking about regions (colloquially called "sims or simulators" in game) while its true they do run on servers, usually 4-16 regions packed onto a single server... its easier to think of them as islands of virtual real estate, some are separate individual tiny islands of 256x256 meters, whereas others are joined to others of the same size. all of course, seperate from the continents which are owned by the company but land can be rented and such

privately owned land people can do whatever they want on it provided it isnt breaking law or TOS, and theres some weird shit that falls through the cracks.

the concept of SL is fascisnating, how it all works in the concept of a digital world, its been doing the metaverse 20 years before Mark Zuckerberg got the idea. the problem is, people are fucking freaks. and the metaverse is as freaky as they are.

  • the militarized police thing isnt news to anyone who hasnt been living under a rock.

whats new though is the rolling out of those microwave / sonic weapons, In the event of mass protests, I would expect at the very least, US Police forces / military uses those against protestors and rioters. (thats assuming they aren't just shooting to kill)

  • The public is mostly powerless as long as the regime is willing to point and use firearms. thats their go-to card.

you can bet that the regime is also planning on giving out military equipment for fighting against crowds too, tear gas, firehoses, and microwave / sonic weapons like what was seen in Serbia recentley.

  • I was permabanned for "Making threats of violence" when I suggested a hypothetical scenario when people were talking about US/Russia/Ukraine affairs, that if a US President suddenly not only betrayed a friendly victim of an invasion and switched to giving direct aid to the aggressor when public opinon of that aggressor is in the toilet, that the US may end up with a dead president. (and this was pre-election)

I dont care that it happened anymore, because judging from the way things have gone, if that didnt get me banned, something else would have.

Reddit is captured, and even if it wasnt, the only thing its good for is the comedy/hobby sections.

everything else is just dumpster fires like the news and politics communities, or the freakshows you see in relationship advice, AmItheAsshole, AmIOverreacting, etc. and all the bad advice that gets given to them as well..

  • I have frequentley seen gpt give a wrong answer to a question, get told that its incorrect, and the bot fights with me and insists Im wrong. and on other less serious matters Ive seen it immediatley fold and take any answer I give it as "correct"

  • Its not just China and Russia doing it anymore. Russia has the considerable might of the legitimate assets of the USA. Not to mention its unofficial ones, firehose of falsehood from the Russian internet troll farms, American troll farms, and every Bubba, Jed, and White nationalist WASP with affluent sounding names with access to wi-fi

  • Europe is Russia's domain, The Americas is Trump's, Southeast Asia is Xi.

if you aren't at the table , you're on the menu

Europe is going to be a nuclear wasteland, unlike the other two, Russia doesnt have the numbers or equipment for any more war, and they're also facing against the nuclear armed NATO forces.

North America will be a wasteland of warlord states as America dissolves into civil war, and odds are, China will sit back, do nothing, and win everything by being the only seat left at the table.

  • Not wrong at all, the Nazi Party co-opted and stole countless icons and imagery, the swastika itself was stolen.

and the modern day Nazi Party in Russia at least, tries to steal entire letters of the Latin alphabet.

  • Russia is the reigning champion of false flags.

Their war against Finland, was premeditated on a false flag. They shelled their own town and claimed the finns did it Same against Poland. Although in that case I believe it was more of an opportunity to take advantage of the Nazis false flag in the Radio Tower incident that they used for their own casus belli

Putins rise to power revolved around a false flag, he had the FSB bomb an apartment complex and kill a score of people, only to blame Chechens after the first Chechen war, to use as a rally round the flag power grab and justify the second Chechen war. The Russians LOVED him for murdering the fuck out of Chechens.

And it was all a distant memory now, but the Ukraine invasion was started by a series of pathetic false flags. including but not limited to

    • an "assassination attempt" on a Separatist leader in Donetsk by blowing up a 40 year old low end "limousine'. (it was a regular car)
    • taking captured or knockoff ukrainian uniforms, and hastily spraypainting ukrainian camo patterns on their own vehicles since both sides used the same equipment back then, and making a fake go-pro video of Ukrainians invading Russia in early 2022.
    • blowing up their own military vehicles to lend credibility to the second point.

*to be clear Im talking about the incidents that occured in late January and early Feb 2022, while the Russians were building up military forces and when they "recognized" the separatist states and formally moved their military into Ukraine, about a week before the shooting started, all of this was going on

Russia has always been a gong-show of shitty and pathetic theatre and drama for the cameras/newspapers*
