3000 Tactical Swifties
  • The reference is to the use of white phosphorus to drive enemy combatants out of cover where they can be hit easily with high explosive rounds. Hence the burning skull and two separate types of mortar rounds.

That being said, maybe you're correct in the guess of why it's included in this photo..

  • Mom, can we have a technical?
  • Unless I'm not misinterpreting, it was the chief designer who 'threw' (lightly lobbed) a metal ball at the window when it shattered.

They did later throw a 'baseball' at it that very suspiciously bounced unlike any baseball I've ever seen. Surprise surprise the tennis ball painted like a baseball didn't break it 😅

  • What you're looking at is a poorly planned city that's car dependent.
  • Good question, I saw the opening of canes in another town that had cops directing traffic in the inlet, probably 3 or so cars working just to get people their (honestly incredibly mediocre) fried chicken.

  • No one’s ready for this: Our basic assumptions about photos capturing reality are about to go up in smoke.
  • Great point. But tools that make it so a 10 year old can manipulate photos even better than your example in several minutes, are in fact fairly new.

Hell they can generate photos that fool 70% of people on Facebook, though now that I say that, maybe that bar isn't too high...

  • Google Maps 'Driving Mode' on Android might be killed
  • It's super hidden, the only way I know to get to it is installing an app that launches it in driving mode.

It came after they killed off android auto for phone screens, essentially just using your phone as an android auto unit.

May sound pointless, but if you like the simple interface while driving it's nice. Especially if you have an android head unit that you don't want to bother connecting to your phone every time.

  • Different social class different rules
  • Does it? It wasn't an issue for me until I got paid and they accidently selected "payment". At which point I had no choice, venmo forced me to give my tax information before they would cancel, or return the money that was sent to me.

They will still be reporting that transaction and there is nothing I can do.
