  • Strollers don't bother me at all. It seems difficult enough being a parent, I'm not going to hate on them for using a stroller.

  • Since the GTA was amalgamated, it's made Toronto conservative due to the suburbs now being part of Toronto. This has significantly grown conservative support since. Also, we need to vote more.

  • Goodyear to receive 44.3 Million for expansions from Canadians, WHY?!?!
  • Goodyear Canada is set to invest more than half a billion dollars to expand and modernize its tire plant in southeastern Ontario, with the goal of making the plant net-zero in less than two decades.

Car tires will not help us achieve net zero. EVs will marginally help but we achieve net zero with walkable/bikeable cities and improving our public transit infrastructure to be the fastest and most convenient option.

  • Ontario expects GTA traffic to get so bad that highways will crawl below 20 km/h
  • I think we can fix it by spending another 10 billion on new highways and additional lanes instead of funding transit. Surely, it will work this time. /s

  • I see what you're saying. Essentially, that's a ban on renovictions while still allowing renovations in such a way that prevents landlords from jacking up prices. Seems reasonable.

  • The word for this is fundamentalism. When people believe it's their way or the highway and all others must conform.

However, in the case of trans folk, I think it's a bit different. They're not forcing pronouns on others, just asking that they be shown basic human respect. If you were a straight man, I'm sure you'd get pretty annoyed if someone insisted on calling you a woman nonstop. Sometimes, people need to be louder when they're facing an existential crisis as they are in the USA among other places.
