  • Fantastic news! I'm so happy they felt impetus to include the less ASCII loving fellow humans in their beautiful game, I tried it a couple times earlier but with too much frustration. The vanilla steambuild changed all that, and at warp 9 as well. Wat a great game, really happy for the developers and publisher.

  • You cant even really say it's 'the wrong guy' if all of them did not get due process.. Every person is 'the right guy'. Maybe not if you're ICE yourself, because your cult friends can probably help you out in that case. Why did they not open fire against their abductors? I thought that's what all the 43-IQ gun laws were for in the US? Self defence?

  • If you wanna go deep, my most keyboard loving friend had like a 5x5 pad with 25 different key switch types, that really gave me crazy perspective on what I enjoy and what not when it comes to typing feel! Let's hope you find a home for your current one and you can find the right one to switch to :)

  • Well I love all kinds of keyboards, even chiclet, but I no longer enjoy rubber mat keyboards. (kinda feels like typing on a wet newspaper now) But if you don't mind the difference in typing-sensation, then why pay for it (if you can find one that fits your needs)?

My old CM Storm Quickfire XT died after 10 ish years and it was really only a couple keys, and my new one has solderless replacement design, so i hope it can reach 20y :) I really like that aspect. I tried repairing my rubbermats, and failed every time. n = 1 :), and I'm just a hobbyist repearer, so I probably just suck at rubbermat repairs.

I grew up with IBM Buckling spring keyboards, that might be why I enjoy the loudness of Blue switches. Best experience is ofc the spongebob keyboard, but that's common knowledge

  • I eat 90%-95% less candy than at my personal peak candy era, and while I do still like it a lot, it's WAY more intense to eat it now, so it feels to me that because I eat less of it, I'm satisfied with a smaller amount of it. Kind of useful to keep that caloric intake nice and low.

I also sometimes bake/roast/grill meats instead of opting for processed snacks and candy, but that still takes more time then just opening the bag (of chips/candy) and shoving it in my facehole.

  • I think I understand your requirements more clearly now, a framework for FOSS collaborative work would be really great. I Hope you can find a way to use Matrix for it. Thanks for the explanation.

Man, I loved the google docs realtime collab functionality, they pretty much nailed it day 1 in my eyes. It's so easy. If your project works/takes off it should be a lot more straightforward for FOSS projects to incorporate it. Hype!

  • Hey Hey! What a fantastic idea, I sure hope you can manage!

I was immediately wondering why you wouldn't hop on projects already out there. For example: I recently ditched google Keep // Trello for Joplin, which i think already ticks alot of your boxes, even Async collab should work (but not realtime, and you'd have to manually resolve conflicts). Maybe adding better collab in Joplin is a more efficient way to spend your time? LibreOffice also has Async collab, since I think about 6 months, so while it might be young, it will grow, and might also benefit from another person putting their time towards it.

Whatever you choose to do, I'll be super interested to see the results.

  • I don't think life is 'less pointless' if you procreate. It's both very pointless, except for personal fulfilment. What should it matter if you follow a path that evolution laid out before you. With consciousness, there is no more reason to consider that path in my eyes, just do what feels right.

  • If capitalism was not so psychotic, inhumane and bloodthirsty, I might agree. In the current world market? If you are worth more then double/triple what your average local family house is worth, I will probably hate their personality and what they stand for.

They'll still get the benefit of the doubt and I'll still engage, because everyone is their own person, but they are playing 3-0 behind and have lots to prove. There's a reason upper management is full of similar personality types.

  • Why even use releases? Everyone can build everything for themselves. 'Normal Users' are just lazy, everyone wants to know how every piece of software is built for their system, it's not like they have other stuff to do.

  • Maybe the S.T.A.L.K.E.R franchise? OG and call of pripyat might be kind of old and thus have too much jank, but 2 just came out, and it promised to bring a similar vibe, and I LOVED that vibe.

There's also some boomer shooters that combine the Doom FPS style with a bit of roguelike, like : https://store.steampowered.com/app/1229490/ULTRAKILL/

"Fuck you, got mine" tegen de jongere generatie.

De vuurwerk bunkers die na de ramp in Enschede zijn gebouwd naar aanleiding van nieuwe eisen zijn nu ook allemaal erg dure bakstenen geworden. Krijgen ondernemers daar nog compensatie voor? Of is dat "fuck you, got mine" deel II?
