    As a student I took three sugars. Then I moved into a house with 4 others none of whom took sugar. For everyone's convenience I went cold turkey and never looked back. Now I'd spit out tea with a quarter of a spoonful of sugar.

    Old romantic cynic. Live in #Sheffield, UK. #cycling is my main form of transport. Long retired now, but I volunteer one day a week with a charity for people with a disability who'd like to cycle but might find a regular two-wheeler a bit tricky. Keep Left.

    Trained/educated in physics. Used to work in hardware design (SystemX), research (cryogenics), software (various), and then IT - user support, training, teaching, management, writing (I wrote a textbook), quality.
