That's a lot of mileage. I'm surprised it lasted that long! Chains are consumables just like brake pads, tires, and tubes. :)
Generally if your chain breaks it was super worn out. The cassette is probably toast too. The quick link is now the only "new" component of the drive train and won't work smoothly with the old stuff.
Replace the worn out stuff. Take a look at the chainrings just in case. They usually last through several chains and cassettes but wear out eventually.
Wikipedia already has a "random article" function. I guess the tiktok ui is nice for some folks.
There are some fun greentexts (real and faked) but yeah they can sometimes be loaded with dog whistles and other nastiness.

I can't find an off the shelf tool for that. Pedro's universal crank puller has an 8mm built in and the handle is removable leaving a larger hex for a wrench. Not sure if that is a 15mm hex head though.
The Park Tool CCW-5 might work too. The 8mm allen/14mm socket part can be somewhat easily knocked out of the handle and carried alone. I can't remember what size the remaining big hex is.
Run over to your LBS and measure up either of those.
