Oh no I wasn't excusing the behavior, quite the contrary. I'm saying the map sucked because they went into EA too early and didn't put effort into changing the map for full release. I agree with you!

I think a large part of why everything was segmented is they released the game into EA way too early. It made it to where they had to have a 'gating' system where they could stop players from going to areas that weren't developed out of finished yet. Overall this affected the maps flow, validating all your points there. Also completely agree with the voiced narrative. Part of what made Subnautica great was the silence. It gives more room for hearing the crazy sounds around you. Instead you had some chatty voice in your head that had commentary about every damn thing.

I think it was fucking beautiful and perfect. I'd pay for a continuing series that follows someone different every season.

Initially when I got Shapez I was critical but was proven wrong verrry quickly. Jumped on the beta when I heard about Shapez 2 and was blown away by just how pretty it was. Picked it up on release to Early Access and haven't regretted it. I hate that I have to wait until November, but I'm super excited to see what the 'perm factory' mode is going to be like. Honestly, if you're on the fence, and love factory games, pick this up. It's a small studio, and the game is worth every penny.

I feel like this article is just to drive engagement? Like, if you've played the game, you know that she was, and literally her whole arc is about how she wants to be free and be a better person. Every time I see one of these memes posted, I automatically assume it was some dill hole on his/her phone not paying attention and posts this to try to justify or feel better. I've never run into anyone that is that impatient at a light. People honk because you're not paying attention, and in this day and age it's usually peeps on their phone.
