I think it's far from the pulse, jammed straight up his ass.

It's absolutely a personal preference. Some people don't care, others do. A 3.5mm headphone jack is a requirement for any phone that I buy along with a micro SD card slot. It's getting more and more difficult to find devices that meet those requirements but that's a choice that I make. Along with unlockable bootloader and the ability to be rooted, but that's a whole different issue.
3.5mm headphone jack just works with anything you plug into it and it has for decades. No pairing, no charging headphones or earbuds, no latency, better sound quality, no having to choose between charging the device and having audio output OR find the right OTG dongle.
A lot of people don't care about this at all and that's fine. But for those of us who do I really hope that these options don't disappear entirely just to sell more Bluetooth earbud garbage and cloud storage subscriptions.
"Babe I really love you. Like REALLY! What could possibly make our relationship better? OH I KNOW! LET'S GET THE GOVERNMENT INVOLVED!!!"
I have a laptop running Linux Mint I only use for hosting bar trivia. I only need it to run like 4 applications but I need them to run flawlessly. The last time I updated it jacked up my soundboard, which I didn't notice until I was in front of a crowd and it played the wrong sound effects. Never again.
Good ol' Fairbanks. Dirt Fest just hasn't been the same since they changed it to Paved Fest.
It would be easy enough to have a raspberry pi always connected that just pings google.com or some other website every few seconds/minutes. I'm not sure that's your best solution or even what the best solution would be, but that would be very easy to set up.
Thanks for the detailed info!
I use PocketCasts but all of the responses here are making me consider trying out AntennaPod.
Root the phone and remove insane garbage like that. Rip and tear until it is done.
Yep. Every time you open that door your standards get a little bit lower until they reach the threshold of what's actually in the refrigerator.
I tried it recently and it didn't taste ANYTHING like the chili at Wendy's.
I use Rhasspy to control my Home Assistant setup. All local and works great. There's a bit of a learning curve to set it all up but once you get the hang of it things are pretty easy.

For the sake of conversation, what's your opinion on offering the same cosmetic skin for real money if you missed out on the limited time frame?
I'm definitely not a fan of micro transactions overall but I'm generally ok with purely cosmetic ones, within reason. I'm also not a fan of the whole FOMO "I have to have time every day to play a game I enjoy or else I won't get the fun stuff" bullshit.
If for whatever reason you missed out on some skin or some other purely cosmetic thing should you be able to spend like $1 to get it? This helps financially support the game and doesn't affect overall gameplay, just personal enjoyment.
Debt. Is that an option? If so where do I sign?
