RESULTS - 2024 Instance Census for lemmy.nz
  • This is really interesting, thanks Dave! (and everyone else who responded)

  • Aotearoa Weekly Kōrero 14/6/2024
  • Just had a wee a shake in Christchurch, only 3.4 but quite close to where I am and relatively shallow. Was a noisy one too, had the heartrate going for a little bit! Ick. I don't like these reminders.

  • Aotearoa Weekly Kōrero 5/6/2024
  • That's so cool! Keep us updated with your travels, if you'd be up for that - I'm sure a lot of us here would find it really interesting.

  • Aotearoa Weekly Kōrero 5/6/2024
  • Wow, that's awesome. Anywhere in particular you want to sail to, or will it be a park up in a marina kind of thing?

  • Aotearoa Weekly Kōrero 5/6/2024
  • Was going to get mine this week too, but then I got sick (just a cold I think). So it'll have to wait for a bit longer. Heaps of bugs going around at the moment.

  • Lemmy.nz Community Census
  • Done!

  • Aotearoa Weekly Kōrero 7/5/2024
  • Just got my flu vaccination, hardly felt it. Reminder to go get yours as well, if you haven't already! The way the health system is at the moment, the more preventative stuff we can do, the better.

  • Video shows Victim Support worker 'bragging' about smacking his children
  • And yet the Eftpostle's excuse for the rainbow crossing vandalism was that they were opposing the messaging of it to "protect children". The mental gymnastics of these people is astounding.

  • Aotearoa Daily Kōrero 2/4/2024
  • Ouch! That'll be an annoying spot too

  • Aotearoa Daily Kōrero 25/3/2024
  • SO MANY PEACHES. I'm going to run out of space in the freezer at this rate.

  • Aotearoa Daily Kōrero 25/3/2024
  • He has lovely speckles. Quite pretty, if slugs can be pretty.

  • SailGP's first day cancelled after dolphins spotted on course
  • Good, the dolphins are too rare to risk an accident

  • Aotearoa Daily Kōrero 11/3/2024
  • I did a bunch of cleaning around the house, which normally would be a bit of a drag, but it's made a big difference. Got the jif out to sort out scuff marks on skirting boards, that sort of thing.

Also saw Dune 2 - loved it. Was a bit condensed at the end, but in a way that I actually appreciated. Battle scenes that last too long start to get a bit boring (looking at you Marvel Universe).

  • Aotearoa Daily Kōrero 21/2/2024
  • Yeah, it's quite a year for them already. Will be interesting to see what the party looks like in a few months' time.

  • Aotearoa Daily Kōrero 21/2/2024
  • Man, the news about Efeso Collins is sad. I hope his family heard about it before it hit the news. Pretty disrespectful reporting if not.

  • Aotearoa Daily Kōrero 16/2/2024
  • Seconded!

  • Aotearoa Daily Kōrero 13/2/2024
  • Now I want pancakes..

Apple compote and cream is pretty good too.

  • Aotearoa Daily Kōrero 7/2/2024
  • Wait, what? Banana *and *cheese on toast, together? D:

  • Aotearoa Daily Kōrero 5/2/2024
  • It was alright.. I think I just felt like seeing a movie, but for me there's not much on at the moment (until the next Dune movie comes out anyway).

  • Aotearoa Daily Kōrero 5/2/2024
  • Nothing hugely exciting, but I do have the day off today so I went to see a movie. The Iron Claw - about a wrestling family. I'm not into wrestling at all, but I rate Jeremy Allen White as an actor after The Bear, and it was on at a convenient time. Plus it was cheap tickets + free popcorn day at my local theatre (Silky Otter), so that was a bonus.

  • Big win for Dunedin's 'dicks guy'
www.stuff.co.nz Big win for Dunedin's 'dicks guy'

Sam Sharpe has led a counter-protest against abortion protesters for more than a decade. He's about to put his infamous sign away.

Big win for Dunedin's 'dicks guy'

    Good on this guy.

Cool to see the safe areas coming into effect around abortion services too - as a Christchurchian I've often seen the anti-choice/forced birth people outside the hospital by the park. I'm so glad they won't be allowed there with their stupid signs anymore.

    Can't change email in settings

I've tried unsuccessfully quite a few times to change the email address listed in my settings. I enter the new email, hit save, the thinky wheel does it's thing, and it looks like it has changed. But when I go back into settings the old email is still there, even after repeated attempts. Any ideas?
