We’re delighted to announce that the 18-year-old centre-back and England youth international has extended her stay here
Woke up to see the last 10. Important result!
Norwegian on recovering from collapse at Molineux, Champions League hopes and being ‘the spider in the net’ in midfield
I just found out we might have to play Porter, the 16yo, 4th choice ’keeper.
I thought some more about a couple of the points I made in the post-match thread, having read and listened to some stuff about the post-match reactions from Silva, Stones, Guardiola etc.
All of this is GOOD. ManC are implicitly announcing that we are the proverbial bee's dick away from besting them. This reminds me of the Wenger and Ferguson, Vieira and Keane rivalry period. Instead of Pep and Co. patronising us at the end of matches, they now have to reach for anything they can to try and get an advantage over us. They are resorting to being happy they got a draw at home and bitching about our so-called "dark arts". Meh.
All this without MØ and Merino coming back PLUS Rodri out for the season.
I'm pretty excited to see what happens. Hopefully my optimism doesn't get crushed like a bug!
Happy Tuesday. We're now 7-5 equal favourites for the title with the bookies.
Red cards carry across domestic competitions, apparently.
Another new discovery for me. This band is from Rouen in France. Have been listening, today, to their new album that just came out. This is the lead track. A pretty good racket, don't you think?
Despite being frustrated, I've learnt through the years of "suffering" to find some positives. There were actually many about this week, once I had a think.
- Away at
TopspurtsHotspurts, Atalanta, Man City in the space of a week and playing on Thursday in Italy…we've done pretty well. - All this with no Ødegaard (or Merino for that matter)
- We've definitely got in the heads of the blue side of Manchester. I def detect that their crowd knows how good we are. We are on their level, no doubt
- Defended superbly against The Best Team In The World™️ for 55 mins despite the shit interpretation of the laws of the game by the Howard Webb Referee Travelling Roadshow
- Califiori's banging debut goal
- Timber and Califiori at fullback at the same time. Looked great.
- Trossard only misses the Bolton game, I think
There's more, but I'll leave it there. This is so much better than the dark, dark Mustafi days.

Good point!
Not that many were using it, but Songwhip is dead. Links that are already created still work but not sure how long this will last.

A Sydney band who I have listened to a little bit before, but not extensively. This track from July, recently popped up in my suggestions. It's nice.

I am liking the sound of Stockholm's Girl Scout. A little bit like Sprints, perhaps. Here's another of their recent tracks that is a bit more jangly. Would go to one of their gigs if they played near me.
On the plus side, at least Bukayo got a rest. Edit-I hope he’s not injured
1:30a kickoff, so I time-shifted this. I’m both very proud of the performance after getting shafted by the ref, but also fucking frustrated. You could tell that the ManC fans were scared of us.
Six big chances to zero plus a good goal incorrectly denied. Somehow, I still feel lucky that we got that point, though.
Nice shot of Keira Walsh in the stands
Yeah! I listened to some of their stuff a couple of years ago and then got reminded of them recently because of their new stuff. I thought they were the band from the Japanese movie and not a current band.
I will keep an eye open for them heading my way!
Just started listening to it. I haven’t come across NTS before.
While finding more about The Linda Lindas, I discovered that Kristin from Dum Dum Girls was involved in their genesis. Here’s a track that reminds me of Mazzy Star. I only recently made that connection but it seems quite obvious in hindsight.

'Crazy' is the single from Cordrazine's 1997 EP 'Time To Leave'. Directed by Brad Lawson & Ben Keenan Stream 'Crazy' here: https://open.spotify.com/artist/7H3NXY4n3p7BwmOL3zIeUK
I was reminded of this tune today. Cordrazine had a moment in Australia in the late 90s, with this song being reasonably prominent at an "alternative" level, even getting to #42 on the mainstream chart. The corresponding album reached #9.
The band was fronted by Hamish Cowan who had previously been in another indie band called Blindside with Cordrazine guitarist, Nick Batterham. I was socially acquainted with Hamish at the time, but don't know where he is now.

New track from FF. Album coming up at some stage. 👍
That’s shit news to wake up to. Not over at all though.
Indirect free kicks can be awarded inside the 18 yard box. Usually to do with the keeper handling the ball when they shouldn’t e.g from a back pass
I just caught up with the hard Arsenal mascot's antics.
Premier League winner Cesc Fàbregas and former Manchester City defender Nedum Onuoha join Mark Chapman to talk about Cristiano Ronaldo’s longevity, after he reached 900 career goals. Plus, should managers put more faith in their younger players? This comes amidst Arsenal’s injury crisis, and rumours...

Youtube link, because Invidious is a bit flaky right now.
The album came out a year ago, but even though they are from the city I live in (Melbourne), I just discovered them today. I like the sound of this track and have queued the rest of the album to have a listen to.
Here's what a review I read said about them:
>Frankston's The Belair Lip Bombs deliver their genuinely unique brand of left-field indie rock with complete poise. > >At one moment you'll hear shades of Interpol and The Smiths, at others they hint at PJ Harvey and Best Coast. Ultimately, the band's infectious take on a well-traversed genre is their own. > >They will have truly cross-generational appeal, giving their younger peers the kind of guitar-driven indie rock many of them crave, and offering older fans something fresh that still taps into something a little nostalgic. > >They're honestly a band too difficult to describe, but one that indie rock fans must be across. They've already signed to Jack White's Third Man Records, so now is the time to get on board.

This image shows a collection of 1990s alternative music and culture magazines spread out on a wooden surface. The magazines include multiple issues of "Lime Lizard," "Vox," "Juice," and others like "Puncture" and "Rolling Stone." The covers feature various musicians and bands popular in the alternative and grunge scenes of the era, with bold typography and striking portrait photography. The overall aesthetic is very characteristic of 90s rock and alternative culture, with a mix of colorful and monochrome designs. This collection provides a nostalgic glimpse into the music journalism and visual style of that period. Michael Hutchence (INXS), Nick Cave, Harriet Wheeler (The Sundays), Hole, Lush, Whitney Houston, Carter USM, The Shamen, Kristin Hersh and Angie Hart (Frente!).
