Sous vide cookers are very efficient, and use surprisingly little energy. I agree with the tofu though, both for the wallet and the environment.

Edit: I used to subscribe, and as a result received their surveys occasionally. They seemed pretty well done, but people are people and probably aren't always objective in their reporting.
Perhaps any candidate, irrespective of age, should undergo a trusted, impartial cognitive test as a condition of candidacy.
Fill the request, and investigate later. If the caller misrepresented themselves as law enforcement, invoice them or report them. The only way that type of scam would become a trend is if people thought it worked and there are no consequences.
