I'm new to biking ( I have 3 hours under my belt) I inadvertently discovered counter steering going 80km/h on a straight road.. I didn't do anymore than a couple of tries and left it, because I was focussing on effective braking and turning through intersections
My advice, as a seasoned expert with almost 3000 miles (this is all the sarcasm), keep with the parking lot drills. As he shows, counter steer is the only way to steer, so you are doing it a little bit, subconciously. But motorcycle speeds mean more lean for a corner, means more countersteer. Build the habit at speeds that mean a bruise, not ones that mean a trip to the er
Goddam, I went to recommend this and then completely forgot the name for like 5 minutes. I've been sitting here trying to remember the name of the thing I recommend to everyone I meet on a motorcycle.
