The more plausible explanation: If you charge for the use of a bathroom people will pee in front of your business out of spite... And necessity.
- That should be the norm worldwide. The places that have pay-to-use public toilets need to toe their end of the line.

- Thank you for bringing that up. When visiting Canada it is important to know that you have to be gay to use a public bathroom. Otherwise you will have to pay for a hotel or lie about your blog post.

To be fair, weirder things like this have actually happened in history. That's what makes it difficult to filter out blatant lies sometimes.

To be fair, you'd almost think that the stuff on CEPTIA, an organization that apparently drove pay toilet bans in the US, was made up. Their newsletter being the "Free Toilet Paper" just seems like an elaborate joke. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Committee_to_End_Pay_Toilets_in_America

  I run a place with a public restroom. There are times when I get so angry that I’d like to charge 20 bucks a shit just to make it worth my while cleaning that mess up.
  
  Ultimately though, folks can’t help that they gotta shit. Most people don’t want to use a public restroom, so if they’re running a in there they are desperate and the conditions are set up for a disaster.
  
  It is what it is. I have gloves, bleach, disinfectant, and a strong stomach.
  
  I’m still gonna curse you under my breath for half a day. :p
  
  I've bowel disease so thanks for being understanding. When I have a flare up I struggle to even leave the house because I have to go that often so if I do manage to get out of the house then being able to get to a toilet is essential for me otherwise I'll have to bring a change of clothes and wipes plus deodorant.
