Reportedly, the USS Independence signaled to the Amerigo Vespucci: "You are the most beautiful ship in the world."
- And USS George Bush met the same ship after 60 years.

Training ship? Who the fuck is training on a ship like that.
- I’m genuinely curious what modern day sailors have to learn aboard a ship like this that applies to the actual work they would be doing in a real world scenario, likely not aboard one of these ships.
- US coast guard still trains officers on a tall ship, the USCGC Eagle
  
  What are they training for? A pirate raid? Swashbuckling with Blackbeard?
- I definitely know of Germany since a female trainee got sexual attacked by other trainees on it.
  
  That was not part of the regular training.
