“You cannot create a back door that only the good guys can go through,” Whittaker said, adding that it’s “mathematically impossible” and would “undermine the security of our core communications, core infrastructures.”
That's one of the problems with this, yes. Another problem is that law enforcement are not good guys.

I'm sure the encryption and stuff is great... but there's more to privacy and security than not seeing what is inside the messages.
