USC cancels all commencement speakers amid criticism over decision to stop Pro-Palestinian valedictorian's speech
The University of Southern California (USC) will not have commencement speakers at its upcoming ceremony after the institution canceled a speech from its pro-Palestinian valedictorian, the school announced Friday.
One of the oldest racist tricks in the book. If we have to let minorities have nice things we'll just close down the nice things.
At this point, not letting her speak is doing more reputational damage to the university than letting her speak and following it up with a cookie cutter disclaimer that her views do not necessarily represent those of the administration.
This is in the University of Southern California, not the University of South Carolina by the way.

Not that I agree with it, but a commencement with no speakers would be great. Just hand out the diplomas so we can all go home.
