I'd still put them in a light onesie. They're pretty small and they don't have much thermal mass, so they may get cold despite the weather. Keeping them in shade like you're suggesting is a good idea.
And like others have said, have lots of formula/milk for them to drink.
If they're having a bad time they'll probably let you know, so be ready to head indoors if they get cranky.
How old is the little one? For the first year they are not supposed to be in direct sunlight without clothing. And as others have stated, sun block is your friend.
That said, our kids were numerous times just in their diaper their first summer without any issues. Just check regularly if they feel uncomfortable and put on clothes or a light blanket if they’re getting cold.
Thanks. I don’t plan on using sunscreen cuz they’re young and they’ll be shaded all the time. Glad other people are cool about being out with just a diaper when it’s hot.
Thanks. Glad people are cool with it. I was getting opinions that it’s not okay but only because it wasn’t a good look. We’re not using sunblock yet, but making sure to keep baby shaded.
Thanks! Not using sunblock yet. Just shade. The question came up because we had a blowout and only had a long sleeve onesie so we just went no clothes and somebody told us it’s not appropriate. Needless to say, we have warm and cold onesies on backup now.
Keep baby out of my store and we're good. I don't see the problem if there's no crawling/walking around on the sidewalk or stuff like that involved. Not a baby owner, though.
