There's only limited additional functionally the app can offer if the back-end / API doesn't support it in the first place. Filters and stuff that run on the client are one thing, but as far as I know, other than read reports, delete posts and ban users, there isn't anything offered from Lemmy's side.
I'm not sure actually, after being a mod on reddit for 12+ years, I'm enjoying not having to bother with that right now. The two communities I'm theoretically modding here get like 10 posts per month, and I've yet to see a single report.
