The difference here is that president was attempting to become an autocrat while the only charges I’ve seen levied against Bazoum are vague mentions of “treason”. I can understand if the president is unpopular that this coup might have quite a few supporters but that’s what elections are for.

I mean the best thing we can hope for at this point is a diplomatic solution with no foreign invasion. Even liberals can agree that a foreign invasion should be avoided at all costs.
