This will be the only chance I will have to see a total eclipse so I slapped together all the gear I own and made a dry run today. There were some wispy clouds that made things a little soft but it's better than the 400mm I used in 2017.

Love this, it feels super three dimensional
I hope you get a perfect shot on the 8th!
Something to do with the way the brightness tapers off with this filter makes it look weirdly 3D, it's even stronger with binoculars.
what equipment did you use?
A Sony A7R (the oldest model) mounted on 102mm f/9.8 refactor.
